***official amd 83x0 overclocking thread***

Folding@home at 4.76Ghz. 55-56C typical. 1.45V

I have run continuously on Full at 4.76GHz and was still able to browse the computer without locking. The temps were constant. So could be some headroom there still.

I have also had resident Evil 6 benchmark running at 5Ghz this afternoon 1920 x 1080 max settings without lockups or BSOD

Hi Guys nice to see this thread growing, I'm on my laptop at the moment as I am putting my 8320 back under H20 a triple rad this time. Found out the reason for the high temps last time out was my pump packed up.

So new Pump and bay res inbound for Monday, then we try for 5Ghz 24/7 !!

Will give it a shot tonight m8 totally forgot tbh soz will post results tomorrow. As im new to it how should I run it settings ect?

Also my buddy back so will ask him bout bits for you dude

We got a great community going here keep up all the work guys we shall hide in fear no more lmao :p

I would run it after installing just the CPU's, if your leaving it overnight put it on the option down from full. Monitor your temps, this will also check your cooling is able.

Let me know about your buddy, I will be on a charity event tomorrow till late afternoon. I will be around after if you don't find out before then.

Let's keep the momentum up and maybe even get into some games when all is stable! :D

I've got a second Dark Rock Pro sitting around waiting for a processor. It'd be great with an 8350 (I can't really justify building a system I don't need to play with it - yet anyway :)).

Ha. I need an Intel CPU for some of the work I do, otherwise I probably would :)

I've got a mini ITX back up system too which is just waiting for Kaveri and an FM2+ board. Getting one as soon as they're out.

Well pre-announcement (GPUs) I noticed it was hard to find the Piledriver users as they didn't really display them in the sigs (no wonder). Since we have stuck to our guns and defended the underdog pushing out that they really are not so bad it seems more owners are now out of the woodwork and the group are now pushing each other to get the most.

I think BF4 has made people 'accept' them due to the game potentially utilising their additional grunt. With the information that future mantle games will tap into the extra cores or the GPU will muck in is also good news.

Then there is the consoles that are imminent, which are also 8-core AMD hardware which reinforces that they cannot be that bad.

Hell if *nix based OS could support these games I would try it if it meant the FX-8 was being used properly.

i5s are basically useless in BF4. 8350 or any i7 with a good AMD GPU and you're golden for some BF4 gaming :D

Hey all, new member to the group here.
Got my 8320, sabertooth and h80 tucked away in a drawer waiting for the rest of the system to be bought.

thinking of going for the corsair 540 case but still undecided on which GPU.

I'm slowly reading through the thread but most of its going over my head at the moment.
I'll be back asking for lots of help when I get it all up and running :)
