Purchased the 182 case last week on back of all the solid reviews.

For thouse of you without water cooling; has anyone else noticed how hot things get using supplied Antec fans set low? My system memory was roasting and when i took the case side off was like opening an oven door, trouble is the stock Antec fans are far too noisey for my liking on medium let alone high. Have a load on 120mm Akasa Ambers laying about and thinking about transfering to it tbh.

Haven't got an outside shot, but there is the inside. It took me a while around 2 hours, could still do with tidying around the back of mobo panel... but im happy as it is lol :)

TIDY CABLE FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My poor wifi card though gets very hot due to the GFX card being ocd and even at stock running 65-71 degrees when the comp is in use. Better the wifi card than the XFI though.

All in all, a job well done

My room is quite wide, sound has no trouble flowing around it and the desk sides do not block anything either.

They sound perfectly fine. No different than the sound quality I get with the HD555s when around my ears. Nice highs and rich lows.

Ok, thanks. I was deliberating for age at the weekend on whether to shift the lower fan to the upper bay or keep it where it is. Looking through this thread made me think about it a few times but with 2 Spinpoints in RAID0 I wondered whether it would be a bit foolish taking the fan away from the drives?

Does having the fan in the upper bay have a noticeable affect on the CPU temps?

I put 4 drives in the lower chamber, so I could put two in the upper chamber's hd-cage. I haven't tested with and without, but I'll hit 70+c on 10-12 hours prime95 small-fft stress testing @ 3.42GHz, 33c-35c on idle with a Noctua NH-U12F on Q6600.

I had to remove my lower chamber fan, to fit an Antec 850 psu. I was a bit concerned about reducing the amount of cooling, but no complaints so far.

I'd recommend putting two fans into the upper chamber and your hard-drives into the lower chamber.

Can anyone recommend some decent 120mm fans which can be controlled via mobo fan connections? I'm looking for a good combination of low noise and high airflow - my current thinking is the Noctua NF-S12 1200RPM, but they don't come with LEDs.

had my P182 for a couple of weeks now.

here's a (rubbish) pic:

for my first attempt at cable routing, i don't think i did too badly.
since that pic i've changed the crap Noctua fan for something more beastly, and i've placed the fan from my intel ref. cooler above the ram (REALLY helps to keep the ramtemps down)

Hi - interesting idea to use the fan from your stock Intel cooler to cool your RAM, especially given most of us will have one or two stock coolers in our parts box. How did you mount the fan? (any chance of a pic please)
