Yea not sure pb covers arma which means if this game is popular its going to be down to server admin especially when each player can mod things in game

Have they improved the voice work in this ? I remember playing the original, and the voices really put me off. It was all over the place

The radio discussions with officers etc is fine as they're all recorded as one sentance, but the 'dynamic' in game type radio is just as bad as Arma 1.
In typing equivalent I guess it sounds something like this lol....

Would love to know the answer to that, too... I don't think my 9800GT 512mb card is going to cut it so am looking at a 1GB 4870, as that seems to be around a 50% graphics boost after googling some reviews/comparisons.
Just hope a single 4870 will run it well

As I posted earlier:
Unfortunately I don't think anyone will be able to answer whether XYZ card/cpu will run this well until they sort out the performance issues with a patch. Fingers crossed that will be sooner rather than later!
On the subject of performance, for anyone running an ATi card with this game I noticed no FPS gain but a much smoother experience with the Catalyst 9.6 (beta/leak/whatever) here.

Its in a bad way in terms of bugs etc, but it is still an incredible game, and when it works, it blows everything else out of the water IMO!
With any luck there will be a major update to coincide with the UK/euro release. Also, you can view bugs submitted by the community and submit your own etc over at the official BIS forums (http://forums.bistudio.com/forumdisplay.php?f=83) and on their bugtracker (http://dev-heaven.net/projects/cis/issues) so may be worth a look there to keep up to date with what is going on if you're considering cancelling

People remember that this is a bohemia game. Systems will not be able to run it at max for years, it was the same with Op flash, the same with Arma 1, I know i still can't max that. Good job normal still looks really good when you're in the thick of it.
Besides. This is turning out to be one of the best games i've ever played... its overtaking op flash very quickly...
I've had so many amazing experiences, completely unscripted, just messing about in the mission editor, or playing the 'combat' random mission type.
I keep getting blown away by this game. Lets face it most games would be on the shelf after a few days. This is not one of them.
Show Bohemia some support and buy this bad boy. Eastern European devs are the generally the only true PC exclusive dev's these days. so support em.

BUT
Arma 1 + ACE mod has most of whats in arma 2
The multiplay needs a bit of work , but its worth getting IF you have a fast rig

Been playing games for going on twenty years and that is just about the best game footage ive ever seen. Big Opflash and Arma fan and im so ridiculously excited about this game, as with previous efforts im sure it'll take the devs/community a while to get things into shape but christ is this game looking sweet.
