only just been playig a few nights, coop mainly, but you know the maps where there are vehicles that you need a better rank to get in them/fly? how do you rank up? is it multiplayer based or single player based i.e. pass all basic training, and rank goes up the more missions you complete offline? tbh i hate single player games so that would be a ball ache.
 
Perhaps this is rather a silly question, but does anyone know if that sli fix from evga works for the arma 2 demo? I don't have full game yet but tried the fix out and don't seem to be getting much better performance on my gtx295.

not sure if it was the uh1 but i was in a russian chopper and when i was over a vehicle i got a blue box on the screen with 2 arrows (like the open door ones), i presume i could have brought up the action menu or clicked the scroll wheel and it would have hooked it up?

Uh1 canny pick stuff up

Only the black hawks can ( 2 of them - other 2 are for wrecks only)
 
So what's the consensus? The game good? I'm an old OPF & ARMA player so looking to see if people are enjoying it.

My one critical question is should you buy through steam? Or does this make future mods annoying?

I also started a long time ago (OFP from demo)

GET IT NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!

IF you have a good rig , it will be great , if not screen res will have to sacrificed

Rig is ok,

Q6600 @3.0, ATI Radeon HD 4850 PCS Extreme 1024MB, 4GB Ram.

Might get it on steam later and have it download overnight :)

Is it just me or is anyone else seriously confused as to how all the base building stuff works?. :confused:

I have built a main base during the Badlands missions and began retaking surrounding towns and villages in "Dogs of War".

But I'm totally confused as to how this base building, resources,buying thing works.

I've built up over $20,000 in cash but still can't buy much going by the menus that are coming up. It doesn't give me an option to build a factory so I can't buy any half decent armoured cars or tanks. Does this come later as you progress through the game?.

Dogs of War is really confusing, objectives changing all the time......capture this town, capture that town etc. :eek:
 
on razor 2 mission ive gone to the 3 red x's on the map, then i got nothing here, better move on or something along those lines, where do i go now? im liking this game and am getting better as i play more but im still finding it difficult to know exactly what to do.
