Manhattan is so hilariously bugged: I've had no arty or chopper support for the whole mission - the options have just disappeared!
Taking out the main Chedaki camp is nigh-on impossible without artillery. Anyone else getting the same and managed to sort it?

Argh, I still can't decide if I want to get this right now or not. I really, really want a good, long game to get involved in, and at this point in time it's a toss-up between Fallout 3 (while it's cheap on Steam), or this. I'd love a tactical shooter but for every post saying it's awesome, there's two more saying it's filled with bugs and annoyances. 
Those aren't my specs, I just haven't changed my sig pic in over a year!
I've got an E6750 (2.66Ghz) stock, 4GB of RAM and an 8800GTS 512. Still, the demo wasn't exactly running silky smooth, which disappointed me a quite a bit.

its both and it depends on the players and future mods & patches to smooth the edges off this game

After a whole bunch of attempts i finished that one last night. Used the UAVs hellfires to kill the BMP and tank in the enemy base. Just set a waypoint for the UAV, hit F to cycle weapons and thats the enemy armour sorted out.
Just had to mop up the troops with an APC.
does the armory have some bugs ?
I was in a helicopter failed a mission and died - put me back in the air - asked me if I wanted to take part in another mission .... "hold an area" .... great except it thought I was a soldier ... and I started the mission at 0mph .. .and crashed straight into the ground ....
what sort of steady frame rates are people getting with GTX275s and 4890s please ? I'm getting a steady 25-30fps with an overclocked 8800GTX
I did have (and it arrived today) a GTX285 - but its staying in its box sealed as its going back (prices have dropped again wit ATI anouncement)
wondering whether to get a GTX275 or 4890 or just be happy with a relatively smooth 25-30fps and wait till later in the year for new range

I think its more than fair to say yes! I was trying out one of the boats..
Challenge alert pops up, It asks if I want to transport some troops, I accept
Mission begins then imediately fails.. I guess it dropped them into the sea and they drowned
Its also made me spawn in a jet whilst doing 0mph in mid-air que me falling out the sky

It's even worse when it spawns you in a jet doing 200 kmh backwards

Really tempted to get this, especially now that its down to £18.
Only prob is ive not had a chance to play a decent multiplayer game yet, tryed earlier but most of the other players seemed denser than the AI

anyone with an i7 system ....try turning off Hyperthreading in your bios ....Arma 2 doesnt like hyperthreading i heard and since doing that the games plays loads better ...no stuttering etc . still crashes once in a while which is a pain !

finally got me a copy today
and so far i think its ok.
can anyone recommend any good servers as i only play online and have been on a few servers where no-one has a clue what they are doing.
also whats with the gfx?? i left it set on default with res of 1680x1050 and got 25-30fps, put everything on very low with the same res and got 25-30fps, i then put everything on very high and res to 1920x1080 and my fps then is 25-40....weird.

You've found the best part of this game trying to work out why the settings don't work the way you would expect.
