***Official Crackdown 2 Thread***

The first game was one of my reasons for getting the Eggbax, but being so similar, I will probably hold off till I can get it a bit cheaper. The first was excellent stuff, though.

Loving this, despite the "similarities" to the first game. I'm of the opinion that the first game came out years ago. I loved it, completed it, and I'm ready to have another go at it. It's great. Good moment so far: I'd forgot that I'd set my game to allow friends to join in, and I was getting on with a mission when I heard a chopper above. I looked up to see one of my Live chums in the chopper, just watching me play. :D

I think i might do the same, such a shame about the meh reviews i thought this was going to be the game of the summer. :(

Yes, it's really dark, but there's a Gamma option in the settings which fixes it, so I guess the online videos didn't bother with this.

I've not touched any of the video options in-game but tbh I have trouble telling when its night and day in-game lol it all looks the same! the only reason I know it's night is cos the zombies are out.

maybe I just get so engrossed in the game that I don't notice the transition?

Really...

You must have the brightness on the TV set very low then. Yes, it's quite a dark game, but take the Gamma up two notches and you will clearly see the difference between night an day. I mean seriously, bight and sunny V night time, you can't miss that!

I use a pj that's been calibrated. In game if I look up at the sky then yeah I can see night and day but just roaming around the city, I find the lights in the city make it bright enough to pass as daylight. When I'm busy in a mission then I don't even notice the transition lol

My Plasma is also calibrated, that doesn't matter. The standard ingame gamma is simply just wrong. Go into settings and alter the gamma correctly following the instructions and you'll actually be able to pick out detail.

Can anyone tell me if you can use the choppers later in the game to get those high up orbs? I have done my best but some are impossible for me to get. I have the wingsuit, but even so, it's frustrating leaping from the highest point I can get to on the Agency Tower to miss a orb that's about 2 miles away by a couple inches!

You dont need the Chopper for any of the orbs though - all are doable without - though with the Agency Tower does have a condition...

SPOILER

The tower grows once you have detonated all the beacons allowing you to reach the random super high Agility Orb.

Guys - when your all levelled up and ready we should get together for City Squad Wing Suit achievement and the Party Bus one :)

Mrs bought me this as a random treat the other day, and I've now played it to completion. If you liked the first one, then there is no reason that you wouldnt like this one, however if I'm honest I think the first one was better.

There is a complete and utter lack of story in this one, at times I felt like I was playing Blade 2: The Video Game. Now I've completed it I dont think that I'll go back and give it another go, but I'm glad I had it, as it took about 25 hours to do the all the agility orbs and races etc, and thats some pretty good value for money.

I quote liked this game and also like Prototype so I am pretty sure I should like this also but the first one was great but it only took me a few hours to complete, there wasn't much to do so I am not sure unless they have added loads of missions GTA style.

well there is agility orbs and hidden orbs to collect in both that will take you a lot of hours to do (also audio logs, renegade orbs and XBL orbs in the 2nd one) and will help max out your powers.
