those who have played the crysis demo, is it a better game than cod4?

i like to have a health bar and to be able to switch weapons quickly. I also hate the way there is no use key to open doors and jumping is a little cumbersome.

Considering it is a TWIMTBP game and one if not the biggest release this year I best be seeing at least 50% increased performance from SLI in the full game.

What Im going to try out for a system.cfg

Do you just make notepad file, name it system.cfg, add those lines and place it in the game directory, so the demos would be, C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis SP Demo ?

Yep, you can just copy and paste it if you like. I tried it out and its pretty good, 25fps on a 8600gts 760p

Thats the bit thats confusing me as altho I got it working o.k its the GFX card ram bit that doesn't make sense, 1gb 2gb 4gb? lol

cut & paste the one in the CCC file & put it in / game /config,open in wordpad & alter to suit your setup , I didn't rename anything but it works for me with sunrays etc.

I've played the demos for both games and I thought Crysis was funner/better than COD4.

He's talking about a map created in the sandbox editor, it's not been hacked at all.

You set all the settings ingame to low/ go to game/config / CVarGroups & delete
all in there then copy & paste & replace with either med or high from the CCC files & all should be well

Load the editor & select file/ open /island /& select island.cry

allow to load & then when the map loads go down to the beach & on the r/hand side select/ archetype entity / vehicles/ land/ & select any wTAc tank
& click & drag onto the beach , press ctrl & G & enter the tank, dont fire it anywhere near lol

Quick question: Will I benefit from 2GB's extra RAM (to give 4 in total) when playing crysis (and for general system performance)? as Im on vista, which is pretty resource hungry.
