Official DFI NF4Ultra-D/SLi owners thread.

Just found a problem, an X800XT card with an arctic cooler does not fit without fouling the chipset cooler. I had to cut one of the screw holders off and sand it down to get the arctic in without causing the chipset sink to be pressed down and not contact the chipset.

What chipset temps are people getting?

The protrusion behind the PCI connector is what hits the chipset fan.

There's mine, just put the mobo tray in. Does it look ok. I'm guessing that if i want SLi, i have to swap the leadtek for something else?

Or might it be possible?

My OCZ is arriving tomorrow so i have one stick of twinmos in bank 4, to flash, then test windows etc. :)

I have just found something funny maybe some one can help.

all good with my dfi nf4 DR but i have just put cpuz to run and thats tells me the rM is in 3 and 4 slots when i know on the mobo its in 2 and 4.

dose thISI meen any thing realy like i am not running the g.skill in duel channel etc.

or just dont worry about it.

Perhaps...

Have a poke around in BIOS - there's various fan settings in there.

I've solved my problems at last....don't know if the information would be useful for others.

My Corsair 2x 512MB XMS4400CT memory modules now work. Had to drive the vdimm upto 3V.

As for the network adapters, I'm just using the Marvel one and not the NVidia one. Network access is looking okay now.

It looks like one needs to assign a MAC address to the adapter. I've not read the online docs so I could be missing something.

Ran some benchmarks with SLI-DR, 3500+ Winnie, 1GB XMS4400, WD Raptor and Sapphire X850XT. All stock speeds and drivers from the disks:

3dMark01SE: 23342
3dMark03: 12123
3dMark95: 5732
1M SuperPi: 42sec

Any good? Looking to up the speeds of the FSB to 300, drop the multiplier a little (when I've upgraded the cpu cooler), and increase the speeds of the sapphire card.

Cheers

I managed to get my fsb up to 310. Had to drop it when putting the multi up though. Got it sitting happily now at 300x9 with memory at 2.5,3,4,6 and HTT x4.
Just gotta return my two dodgy MSI 6800GTs now.
