List out your exact specs including BIOS version - why 310? It's really old and doesn't support E3, E4 and E6 revision CPU's - i.e. Venice, X2 Manchester and Toledo or Opteron 939.Tommiho said:Hm still same problem . Tried many times to clear BIOS, removed battery for few minutes. When it rebooted it said something funny about memory WARNING Please install one RAM module in DIMM 2 for single cjanel operation and 2 Modules in DIMM 2&4 for dual channel operation.
Bios stopes in the beginning and : press F1 continue or DEL to enter setup.
I am able to get into the windows but allways after restart I have to clear BIOS, remove battery.
Just dont understand why this mess , because flashing was done in accordance of DFI guide, with their enclosed file. Would it help if I reinstaled chipset again? Would it have any effect on BIOS? Is there a way back to the factory BIOS?
Just dont know what else to do ...
Thanks

Yes.
also, what is the latest beta bios for the sli-dr? 704-2bta?
I believe so.
thanks
That's your best bet. 623-3 should not have any issues whatsoever and should run stabley so long as all the necessary drivers are installed.Tommiho said:I am going to try to flash it again with N4D623-3.exe 23/06/2005 version through floppy.
Thanks for any help.
ps: MoBo and the rest was bought on friday.

Not bad for a 144 opteron.

not sure what ive got set wrong as the cpu is still 29c idle @1.45volts
speeduk said:Try it on a lower multiplier. Try x8 and see if you can overclock to make sure its not a cpu problem.
If it is holding you back @ 280 then thats one poor clocker. What stepping is it? tried setting the ram on a divider etc?
