Oh didnt know that - maybe best to settle for just the 1 gig of ram then
 
You would be better with 2x 1Gb modules, although they require slack timings (cas3) and don't overclock a massive amount, you can still get better performance out of them then with 4x512's.

as a side note E0 A64's are supposed to have fixed mem controllers that will allow 4x PC3200, but we will have to wait and see about how good they are as this is still speculation.

I checked my PWM reading that way, and it still gave me 60C after a heavy benchmark.

A 120mm fan blasting at the mosfets, and it didn't go above 38C. I guess I need to find the best way to get a fan in there pointing right at that area.
 
Anandtech did a test with 2Gb of RAM, 4 modules I think. Said they got it to PC3200 2T. Tried for 1T but no go. They just said most recent CPU's should be able to handle it AFAIK. Something I may try soon.

Although the mem controller was updated, it still only supports PC2700 officialy, although you might be ok to go over that.
But 2x 1Gb will still go further then 4x512 .

Duffman, 60°c is what I would expect.

I get exactly the same temps, 120mm fan over the area really helps to keep things cool.

my wireless mouse isnt working either :0

but its a usb connection turned into a ps2 one

i swear i havent done anything for it not to work :( just the last 24 hours it decided to do nothing. i get a cursor in the middle of the screen and i try move it and i can't :0 although my keyboard works :S

I've been getting major issues with my cordless desktop mx kit its been a right pain, for example I tried to reinstall windows and the bios refused to pick up on the usb devices so i had to steal my friend, what bios version have u got maybe its a issure with 209

Have you tried lowering you memory divider?

I could only get to 240/11* with the memory at 200, then I dropped it down to 180 and now I've manged to get 270/10*.

Just a quick question what is the difference with these three boards ???

DFI LanParty NF4 SLI-DR (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-011-DF)
DFI LanParty UT NF4 SLI-D (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-013-DF
DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-014-DF).
Apart from the obvious sli stuff ????, What board should i buy ?? im upgrading from a nforce 2 with xp 2600 cpu will i see much difference in upgrading ???.
Will my enermax psu work ok with it 460 watt it is i have 512 mb of corsair xms pc 3500 ram will that be ok ???, and what graphics card should i add to it ???. Thanks for the help ;)
 
DR models come with all the extra font pannel, bag and bits & bobs.

If you want to go SLi, then you should buy the SLI-D unless you want the extra's then buy the SLi-DR.
the Ultra-D can go SLI if you hack it (link to results & how-to in first post)

Ok thans ricco will my psu work with it ???? and what graphics card would you recommend to put in it 6600 gt be ok ???.
