Good m8.

can you give an exact instruction listing so i can add it to first post, I dont have Raid myself so I can't list the steps.

Here you go.

For people who boot from raid arrays

*If you have a USB keyboard remember to enable USB Keyboard support in Bios found under Integrated peripherals.

1. Flash with the new bios and when complete turn off the computer and clear cmos.

2. Power up the computer and enter bios, go to Integrated Peripherals -> Raid Config, In Raid Config set Internal Phy SATA 1-4 to enabled (and the Silicon image ones if you have the 'DR' flavour and you have your array on these channels)

4. If you have a USB keyboard enable USB Keyboard support also in Integrated Peripherals

3. Save and exit the bios

4. When prompted by the NVRaid bios screen (After POST) press F10 to enter the raid setup. If all has gone well you should see your Raid array has been detected and showing as Healthy.

5. Press Cntrl-X to exit Raid setup and your comp should boot as normal.

reset all my settings and exited bios
all ok now up and running, i never updated bios , running ok with
2x corsair xms 3700
should i still update or leave guys?
any other bios tips guys :)
many thanx

From the first post:

"Revision sticker can be found on the bottom edge of the last PCI slot. RevA01 and A02 have identical components/build, just differ in BIOS version. A00 should be returned. DFI has stated that if you are unhappy with a revA01, RMA it to them and they will make the changes needed for it to be a Reva02."

i get can memtest errors even at stock 200HTT whith these bios with 3.4v but if i lower voltage to 3.3v i can now run 260htt stable (needed 3.4v before) also the cpu voltage seems to be off by 0.5v, if i set it to 2.6v it shows 2.55v on smart guardian so i need to set it to 2.65v to get it prime stable (shows 2.6v in smart guardian).

Hey guys, just trying to get my system going.

When I boot up it doesnt get past the initial post screen as it just powers down again.

I either get the Lanparty logo and then it cuts off, or I see some of the drive detection then it cuts off.

I have just one of my Gskill in slot 2 (and tried slot 1) have also tried clearing the cmos.

The diagnostic LEDs count down to 1 as the Lanparty logo shows then its off, also noticed the RAM LED turns off at that point too but the standby LED stays on.

*edit* Have just tried some old Geil Value RAM, same problem.

Any ideas?

roakes just a few ideas (im never the best at problem solving though).....

checked the heatsink is properly seated? (could possibly be overheating and shutting down)
check everythings properly seated/plugged in? (tried out of case to make sure its not shorting on something?)

im not sure what else it could be :/ try with the minimum things to boot you can (EG no hdds/cdroms/sound cards etc)

roakes,

have you got all your extra power connectors in ?
Try removing some of your hardware ( sound/ USB mouse or KB?/ CDRW etc)

Thanks guys, it seems the heat spreader on the cpu had detached itself so i applied some AS5 to the die and put it back on, bios temps are showing 31-38 degrees for the core, i assume thats ok (using an XP120)

31 is very good, I only hit 29 with water

Did'nt realise the XP120 was so good a HSF. You got a big fan on that or something ?

Still 37 is good if you have a virtualy silent 120.

Also 310 official (linked on first post along with winflash) is the best BIOS and I recomend you use it.

You guys using the lan under nvidia drivers or Marvell drivers ?

Also did you install the cd then update from net drivers.

Or straight off the net drivers ?

If i download with the Nvidia lan (save target as..) it would usually stop downloading have way through and i would have to restart d/l it again. Also i get "software caused connection abort" all the time on mirc".

The Marvell does not have that problem and i get the same d/l and u/l speeds as i do with the nvidia lan.

Have you got the latest chipset and LAN drivers installed?
