Official DFI NF4Ultra-D/SLi owners thread.

ok this is recent from what i can tell, but my dfi ultra -d's audio skips all the time

regardless of what im doing, along with the skipping is a slight pause

im running with a x850xtpe and i know its not the cards problem

iv tried the nvidia drivers and realtek drivers, both seem to cure it for a small while but hten it comes back again.

maybe another format is required which i seem to do every 2 weeks

any tips before i do so?

Yip memtested for over an hour.

Passed all 5 tests then i got bored, so it seems fine at 280fsb which is what i'm at now at 1.525 @ 110% special.

Any ideas ?

If you want to run it at 300HTT 1:1 then I suggest you let it do a full memtest (not just the first 5) at that speed and timings to see if it passes it

I been told that it may be the memory controller holding me back from 300htt.

My stepping -

ADA3200DIK4BI
CBBFD 0432TPMW
1036416H40325

Think that's what's holding me back ?

I'm at 280htt at the moment :)

Ooh another quick on guys, what are the default settings for the chipset fan in Smartguardian?

I had a mess then hit default but it didnt default back to the settings from initial install.

Currently on:

Off: 20
Start: 45
Full: 57

And set to 22 on the Low/High horizontal slider

Thanks

Anyone ?

I want more speed :D lol

I think you need to test the limits of ** cpu and ram seperately. I put a link to a good guide a page or so ago, explained how to do this to determine which part is holding you back

Divider time it is then :D lol

I believe Ricco has the same ram as me (XMS3200XLPT TCCD) and he's at 300HTT, so i don't think it is the Ram, will put on a divder and try though.

Am pretty sure it will be the memory controller.

Will probably just leave it at 280 or 292htt until i can get a Venice Core CPU when they come out :D

Cheers for help matey :)

You have a good choice in case by the way :D

Got the same one here (Black with window :D)

linky to your post imo :P

Im a BH hound with nf4 ;)

Did have the COrsair XLPT at 300, but that was 2T on Neo2 NF3 board.

Anyway, silly question but what did you set your HTT multiplier too when you tried for 300mhz?

2.5,4,4,7 2T@ 2.8v
HHT multiplier to 3x
CPU multiplier to 7x

try that.

I tried -

2.5,4,4,8 1t and 2T@ 2.8v and 2.9v
HTT multiplier at 4x as someone said the DFI could handle that no problems. I will try 3 though.
CPU multiplier at 9x

cheers Chi, R.A02 it seems, shame, I was hoping for the Rev3.

Am I likely to encounter any initial boot errors with this Rev mobo and TCCD?

Chi, how small is the X850XT!! I was gobsmacked, its like a little pocket gfx card after Ive owned the 6800 Ultra :)

Thanx for the links to the cables man, got it all sorted, aswell as the case window, UV Cathode, UV Dye and fans :)

Just put my memory on a 100fsb divider and this is the results i got.

Any ideas guys ?

Maybe my chip just doesn't like this high fsb ?

As you can see in the pic, i'm running at a fairly high vcore anyway (1.550 by 110% special)

Can't wait to get a venice core lol

Tried it matey.

I've only got one stick anyway.

I tried 300x7 but no luck, started booting but then bsod and it had a nice amount of volts going through it anyway.

I'm not running 260x10 at 1.65v at 2.5-3-3-7 - Is there any timings i can do tighter than that.

I tried 2-4-4-8 with no luck, or is 2.5-3-3-7 the tighest im gonna get at 260fsb ?
