The DFI doesnt need drivers if your using the nForce 4 SATA...

It has taken since 8th of March now, there phoneline is useless as it is a re-direct service and they have had it since the 17th of March.. My hols are coming up I want my motherboard DFI, 3 weeks are up this coming friday.
It was just under £15 to post it to the DFI HQ in whereever in europe it was...

DFI suck at RMAs.... Im NOt happy, it it doesnt return by the end of my hols, Im never buying DFI again as it tbh sucks.

GT4 is keeping the bordom away atm tho, at 45% so it wont last much longer :p

They have had it since the 17th, there's a been a weekend inbetween that, and you're complaining and it's only the 23rd. They have had it less than 3 days, how quick do you expect an RMA from the Neatherlands?

My brother had to RMA a mobo to DFI it took about a week for him to get it back, I don't call that slow.

Yeh, sorry I was being unfair, there thing takes a few hours to update and its been sent :D

Still, there should be a UK RMA center. Should be here friday if the delivery company take there finger out!

Can I ask where they need to take their finger out from? :D :D

Just to confirm, to anyone fed up of the noisy chipset fan, the Zalman ZM-NB47J northbridge cooler can be made to fit with a graphics card in the top slot, no pins needed to be cut away, just bent the whole lot with a pair of pliers.

My card is a watercooled X800XT.

Temps are around 38-40 degrees.

Shot of the full system just for the fun of it, waiting on a WD Raptor so no tidying has been done yet:

TDX on the Winnie 3000
Silverprop SL on the X800
Eheim 1250

Stock volts at the mo, getting 38 degrees idle, about 40 load.

Just put my watercooling in last night, so wanted to get things as quiet as possible so thought I'd bodge the zalman in, currently my CPU is 25 degrees idle stock :) Graphics hits around 39 degrees full load  A very nice improvement from the 80 degrees on the stock cooler and 65 odd with an arctic cooler.

Certainly did :)

AS5 is settling in too, down to 37 degrees idle, thats cooler than the stock fan.

That's good my water cooled is only 34 idle but it's only a Zalman Reserator with real water cooling it would be lower I'm sure but that is great for passive I would have copied that myself had the water block not fitted.

I'd like to have watercooled it tbh, but there's not a suitable 1/2" block around yet, dangerden are meant to be working on it. But if the zalman does the job then I won't bother.

As you have shown from your temps there isn't much point in water when your solution works so well and it looks good too.

Thanks, I can't take all the credit, someone did something similar but cut away some of the rows of spikes, I was pretty sure I wouldn't have to cut anything away, turns out it worked perfectly.

that looks great, what's it done to your graphic card's temps though? How much have they gone up/down by?

I changed my graphics card cooler from an arctic silencer to water cooling with a silverprop SL waterblock, temps are below 40 degrees full load.

Im using a Danger Den Acetal MAZE4 GPU. Another excellent waterblock for the X800 series. :)

Does anyone know if I can use a Tagan TG480-U01 480W ATX1.3 psu with a DFI LanParty UT NF4 SLI-D? I will want sli later on. I dont have to buy a Tagan TG480-U01 480W ATX2.0 SLi Compliant Silent PSU do I?

If I were you I would as it has the 24-pin connector required - tho I suggest you try and make it tick (;)) as I hear Tagan are now replacing them with the newer ATX2.0 version free of charge (other than having to send it to a UK address) - Minstadave will fill you in ;)

ps3ud0
