Doom is all about the single player. Just had a quick blast on Underhalls on nightmare mode.
Still a great game 22 years later (Doom 2) getting that super shotgun still feels as good as it did so many years ago then blasting through 10 enemies at once
Oh man reading that took me back.
As always I'll be waiting for reviews post release on the SP. Hopefully it delivers. To be fair, the SP trailers look a lot of fun. Just disappointed with the now standard perks, unlocks and upgrades in the MP.
I enjoyed the multiplayer beta. But then I have not touched online shooters since over binging on Counterstirke a good few years ago now...
I also will be waiting for the SP reviews before parting with £40. I find the whole pre-purchase thing daft tbh!
£40? Who pays that? I got mine + dlc for £25 from cd keys
Just remember, DLC is all Virtual Reality too. See, it would cost you money to buy a new gun in REAL LIFE, it would cost you money to buy a "new piece of equipment" in REAL LIFE...it would cost etc...
So they are making at ruely immersive VR experience and we should thank them for such a wonderful concept!
Sadly it seems that the classic old days of an arena FPS have long gone. Perks and loadouts are here to stay. And it is those things which have really put me of modern day FPS.
Take a look at the new Unreal Tournament if you're after a real arena fps game, might only be pre-alpha at the mo but its very playable already.
