I thought that borderless windowed mode would have let it record via the desktop option, no luck with it so far.

Try OBS Window Capture mode then in Borderless Window mode. I had to do that for Wolfenstein: New Order

I use Action and that records OpenGl and DX12 in Desktop mode.

What's performance like on a 980ti 3440 x 1440?

Yeah its ok on the default game settings it detects i get around 60-90 doesn't drop below 50 at the worst.

Played it for 2 hours or so.

Seems like a pretty decent fast paced FPS, not sure how long before the novelty might wear off though.

Assuming it doesn't use SLI, but 4k/Ultra with AA turned off (and self shadow) gets me 60fps.

Am I missing something, in the leaked images they was a frame rate target you could select up to 144fps. I dont seem to have it in advanced options.

Okay I got it running and I can't get passed the Intro splash screens. They're horrific 0.25FPS and once I get to it showing Bathesda it just freezes there :/

Is there a game Specific driver needed for this from NVIDIA? I'm still on 364.72 here. Doesn't seem to be anything from NVIDIA related to DOOM as a game ready driver

Im having very bad frames dropping in doom,

2x980Ti`s @2560x1440p @144hz

Game started off very fluid
until about 30 minutes in and frames drop in weird spots
like when you pick up new weapons from dead corpses during that animation frames can take quite the hit from 120+ down to 40s-50s-60s
then there is massive drops with in seconds to jumping back in seconds

i can be looking at one point and there is hardly anything stressfull there and frames can take quite the hit
then there is other times where frames are awesome again lol

its ruining the games fluidity for me
also where is is smoke and heavy shadows can cause the same thing........

please tell me im not the only one with these issues.
i do have the game completely maxed out and 2x nightmare settings enabled
but even if i drop the AA from 8x maxed to off,, the frames stay the same really high its like AA is not even impacting performance......


something weird is going on here, hopefully 365.19 will fix this crap....

Not getting the frame rate drops, how are you enabling nightmare settings? The only option I can see saying nightmare is to do with showing system data.
