The universal hammering this game is going to get will be hilarious later on, but I'm buying it anyway :D

Sorry but unboxing videos are quite possibly the saddest thing ever brought to the internet.

I also don't like unboxing videos. Opening the box yourself is part of the fun, I see no real point to them and it makes the person doing it look like a bit of a tit :p
 
There was some 360 gameplay up, looked pretty good but 2k filed a copyright complaint against it and got it removed. :rolleyes:
 
Looking at youtube vid of that guy unpacking the BOS edition, I am not too sure what to think. It all looks like a load of rubbish to me. The bust is way smaller than I expected. Then again I should have guessed it was not going to be anything amazing. I should find out tomorrow what it really is like and also how well (or not so well) the game plays :p

Still looking forward to it though.
 
Well this was a bit pathetic, checked my "rain forest" account and was told id placed no orders and had none pending. A whike later i get an email telling me we could't get stock so we've cancelled your order.

Yeah thanks for telling me the day before i was emant to get it. :rolleyes:

not sure what you were expecting for the price they were charging. :p

Given it can be had for a tenner more than the game will retail for normally on Steam, that's a lot of stuff for not much money.

This is why I rarely pre-order anything anymore, mostly from experience and the ongoing constant shafting you still hear about.

I ordered mine a while back and my BOS edition is "being packed" for delivery tomorrow.

It was out of stock, although this morning it was available and now is unavailable again.

The BOS is only a limited production though.

When did you order?

Ordered on the 4th of June when it was available on their site, it only went unavailable a couple of days after that.

Ended up ordering from play and its being packed, i won't have it for release day though as they don't have any delivery options :(
 
Got mine today from retail DVD via a pre-order with a nice Duke talking keychain :D but its locked until midnight & cannot even install even though I registered it on Steam. I can pre-load on Steam if I want though & waste bandwith. Packaging is very basic. 1 DVD. No proper manual only a URL to download it on a 4 page basic instructions booklet.

Letting you pre-load but not installing from DVD is a stupid move when the files are still encrypted until Steam online DRM decides to unlock them :( (Red Faction Armageddon has the same dumb limitation you cannot install from DVD but can pre-load now. Not going to waste 12GB bandwidth pre-loading both its pointless). Someone must have cracked that as you used to be able to install from DVD then it would still be encrypted until the launch time.......

My heart sank when I saw the DVD only has 4.18Gb of data on it as I was expecting at least 7-8GB of content if not a double DVD install. 400MB patch as well for the pre-loaders on Steam already even though its still locked for the aussies who have it out but 2K have not unlocked it for them even though it released there today which seems a little fishy we will all know the answer in another 12 hours or so........
