That resurrection mod looks good, might have to give it a try.

I made my first mod yesterday using the creation kit, i'm playing on survival mode in my second playthrough and thought it would make sense that if you drink a can of purified water then you should get the empty aluminium can so I managed to make the mod by comparing the nukacola and the way it gives you a bottle cap each time.

You drink loads of water in survival mode so the aluminium cans come in very handy.

Survival still not challenging enough for you? Bullet sponge humans have you down? Feel like Power Armor isn't Power Armory enough? Or that Deathclaws and Coursers are all talked up but in the end disappointing? Then this mod is for you!

I have gone through and ensure that humans are humans, including the player. So watch out, you are going to need to grow a spine and learn to use everything to your advantage. You aren't Rambo, and neither are any other humans out there.

What did I change? I changed every NPC and creature. Every peice of armor has been given a bit of a boost as well, and you will notice there is now a larger discrepancy between high tier and low tier armor. Guns and Melee weapons got a nice boost as well, Guns based on ammunition type, and melee based on whether it is one or two handed.

I ensured that humans know they aren't cut out for the wasteland, and it'll take smarts to get through the most difficult areas. When you fight Supermutants, Deathclaws, Robots, you better bring the right guns to bear and be riding in a shiny suit of Power Armor, lest you be maimed, burned alive, or otherwise horribly mauled by the Wasteland. The Commonwealth's a brutal place. You better fight tooth and nail.

Ok reinstalling, only unintsalled because of that police station mission, I just could NOT beat it.. and it was bugged too, that annoyed me. Mod time :3

Maybe not the most useful mod but loving the authors description of it and gonna download it for just fun and giggles if nothing else.

The author has quiet a few Fallout 3 and NV mod's though so he not a newbie on the modding scene. Be interesting to see where this mod lands.

Details

This mod allows you to fry a lot of things, as you would in reality, at a cooking station. The exact amount of things escapes me, as in reality, one would be able to fry and devour pretty much anything given a cooking pot and a ladle, but I added quite a bit and I hope that the amount will suffice. The screenshots will show you some examples of the new things that can be crafted (that should've been available from the start, but sadly Bethesda is full of morons who can't comprehend the concept of food). I may add on to this mod in the future, but I am not sure as of now. However, I will definitely be creating more mods in the Wasteland Survival Guide series in order to further correct Bethesda's mistakes.

In addition to various food items, you are able to fry grenades as an alternative to cooking them, and mix Jet with Nuka-Cola because every b!tch knows that inhalants and soda are one and the same.

Edit: Just installed it and had a look at it, it definitely worth installing, there is some useful food items that can be done, but mostly for the entertainment of reading what each item can do to you, when eating it ! :eek:

Right all up and running with that resurrection mod. Fallout looks fantastic now. Got some misc weapons, weapons etc, it's so fun.

Another interesting mod. Seems the author done quiet a bit of work, going from the pictures that been uploaded. I be tracking this and see what happens, it does sounds interesting but since I not been to the Glowing Sea yet I wont be installing it quiet yet myself.

Commonwealth Extended by TheBBQSpecial

This is a project that will extend into the future, something to improve, develop, and add to for years to come. So far it encompasses a fairly large reaching amount of changes or alterations to game mechanics, NPCs, weapons, creatures, and locations. However, being in it's early release, there is much to improve on and add to this rapidly growing mod.

Gah, the latest patch has broken script extender, so the achievements for modded save mod is no longer working for now

. This is going to be a PITA keeping up with this all the time.

I noticed there is another mod that doesn't use script extender, has anyone tried that mod with success? It says that it'll still warn you about achievements and the saves will still have the (m) next to them, so how do you even know if its working? I wouldn't want to miss any achievements.

Bethesda's wholly inadequate moderation, total lack of preparation and apparent total lack of giving a damn about any of that has been facilitating wholesale theft of mods and even people profiting from it (a competition with prizes contained several stolen mods).

Modders who have complained about it on Bethesda's forums have been replied to with death threats and public disclosure of personal information (which gives some credibility to the threats). Besthesda haven't even bothered to moderate the death threats away, let alone do anything about the situation they have created by their at best incompetent and at worst malicious implementation of a place to get mods. If I wanted to ruin modding so I could control it and profit from it (it's hard to sell DLC when free mods do the same things but better), I would do what Bethesda are doing. Even if they couldn't be bothered to do anything much, they could have copied Nexus since that's bigger and runs very well with only one paid employee and some volunteers or even just subcontracted the whole thing to Nexus.

It's not a matter of "spitting their dummy out and leaving". If I put a lot of time and skill into modding for no pay and then the company (who benefited from it to some extent) did nothing while my work was stolen and I was threatened with death, I'd probably say "enough of that" and go do something else instead. Wouldn't you?

Ahh, I didnt know about death threats, seems a bit odd that that would happen... I guess thats fair enough then. Its a shame the consoles getting mods has to ruin it for the PC community, but I suspected it would have a negative impact as soon as it was announced.

The main one i will miss is the Rebel armour as it fit the world so well. I still have it installed luckily, but it would have been good to see it improve and see any more outfits s/he made. I'm sure there are lots more I missed from my few month break from the game while this was going on

Just getting back into this after a few months hiatus.

Opted for the survival mode plus a few mods, some of which listed here (thanks).

Looks absolutely superb, Vivid Weather makes the game feel really atmospheric, such an absorbing game now.

I might have a look at a differnt weather mod, true storms looks cool, but it seems to be really low visibility 90% of the time.

Also getting sick of the FO4 updates breaking script extender. I'm going to have to play it without mods until ive completed it I think as its getting beyond the joke now. Seems like as soon as SE is fixed they patch it again and break it.

Can recommend Vivid Weather then. I set mine to all seasons, so you get a mix. Plus added extra rain sounds.

Really adds a whole lot of atmosphere.

Can anyone suggest some essential mods to make the game look its absolute best without crippling a 1070 at 1440p? I'm running a custom ENB by a certain forum member and it's very nice but I'd like to try something else?

I'm also using Radiant Clouds and some texture mod.

Check out some of the mods i'm using in the spoiler tags below. It seems to be handling ok on my 970 @ 60fps, so i'd imagine a 1070 should be fine at 1440p. It looks great to me.

EDIT: Looks a lot better in game, pics seem to have lost sharpness and clarity somewhere between taking the screenshot, resizing or hosting on photobucket. Looks like ive used one of them blurry preset things, but I never use them as I dont like the effect.

Pretty basic question this but when you download and activate a mod in NMM and then you fond there has been an update for it published, usually smaller, when activated do you then keep both the original and update both activated in the NMM....?
