*** Official Fallout 4 - No Spoilers Allowed ***

Perk up on the increased ammo finding and on the non auto rifle perk to get more damage. Then mod yourself a maxed out hunting rifle which uses .45 cal ammo.... One shots almost everything by level 30 no matter where you go :) .45 doesn't drop that much on baddies but it drops enough and the vendors always have heaps so I always stay over 200 rounds on me and have a decent laser rifle as backup.... And the rocket launcher for elites ;)

Shotguns suck unless close quarters, whereas an awesome rifle is good ranged and can also take heads clean off at close quarters.

I like Laser weapons. The rifle I have pretty much vaporises everything in one shot apart from Legendary Deathclaws. I have a laser pistol, Laser asault rifle and a laser sniper rifle.... :-)

I've come across a really weird bug. I was travelling along as normal when the sky suddenly went all red. I thought it was just another weird weather effect so I kept going. But it wont go away. I've tried fast travelling. I've tried waiting and sleeping. I've tried reloading the game. the red glow even happens indoors, like for example inside Vault 81.

Its not game breaking, but it is kinda annoying. Has anyone else came across this? Any solutions other than loading an earlier save?

Laser weapons are the best. I get a very star-warsy feeling from them :D

I got a legendary laser rifle which I've modded with a better sniper barrel. And capacitor. It's so awesome one shooting most enemies and watching them disintegrate. :D

No solutions sorry, just an addition of another annoying bug on top of yours.... Mines is that all notifications on the top left of the screen have completely stopped showing for me.

For example, the text telling you how many caps were added to your stash, telling you that you levelled up, or how much of anything really you have picked up. As with yours Craig, it's not game breaking to me, but it is damn right annoying and I cannot see a way of fixing it. Not reverting back to an earlier save, I have played at least 5 hours of the game with it like this now!

Supply lines... does it or does it not share food and water resources? I am really confused. All my settlement now look the same, farm and water pumps. Repeat. I can't seem to make one focus on something and when linked to supply line, share it.

Anyone?

I crumbled and opened mine yesterday, was going to save it until after completing New Vegas.....what a game! I'm about 4hrs in and have just been building a shelter and stuff for the settlers

My sanctuary is completely fenced in but enemies still get in. I got back from a long mission last night and all of my turrets, searchlights, generators, water pumps & crops were damaged. I have no idea who or what got in and did it.

I am pretty sure they didnt com across the bridge or they would have been shredded.

I REALLY like building turrets :)

I have never ever had a single raid or enemy come into Sanctuary. What level are you at?

I have another weird bug in that all my search lights I have put in, they work fine but then the next time I am there in Sanctuary and it is dark, the lights are doing the movement but are not emitting any light.... If I pick them up and put them back the lights instantly work again and remain working until I fast travel away and then back again.

I am only level 14 but I suspect that the more prosperous your camp is, the more attention it gets. I have 12 settlers, trading posts, over a dozen weapon turrets, searchlights, 24 food, 23 water, 20 beds and about 40 power.

I have built a 2 story metal hanger type building which also has external lighting. My camp is like a beacon.

I've not been raided once either, what happens, do you get a notification when you return? What do they steal?

I've only built the basic stuff that is required for the the side quest at the start. I don't really have any interest in building anything else.

Watched a bit of my mates strema on YT over the wekeend of no spoiler side quest stuff and it almost made me crumble and buy it ahead of time.

I did get Fallout GOTY for my XO though and that plays amazingly, firing it up with my save from years ago to carry off where I left off (scientific pursuits) was great.

Had a quick wonder round Megaton and it was good to be back in the wastelands.

Weird, I also have 12 settlers but even higher stats on most of the items than you have (marginally) but have never had an attack/raid on my settlement.

So many bugs in this game, it's pretty bad lol. Amount of times I've fallen through the floor while exploring and had to reload. Or been shot while up against a wall and got stuck in the wall. It's quite poor given the time invested in the development.

Still, can get back to it now I've finished Tomb Raider, loaded it up last night and did a few quests. I really need to find a good gun, sniping feels pointless in this game at the moment, headshots don't do that much more than a normal shot :( I haven't struggled yet but I always have to get in close whereas I'd quite like to pick people off some times. The combat is definitely Fallouts weakest area

my settlements are thriving

the drive-in has 14 people, the co-op has 12, ten pines has 11 (this is a problem as its a small site so I have built a block of flats essentially, Red Rocket has 11 people but is like a little fortress as it keeps getting hit by super mutants, again I have built a tower block on the roof of the garage with aerial walkways peppered with guns and defense hard points, they have shops now, plenty of food and good defenses. going to develop the outpost at the radio tower next and link that the the nursery once I have cleared the surrounding area...I have stopped playing the game now and it has become the sims with guns!

the scavenging table that you build and assign people will randomly put stuff into yourworkshop inventory...mainly building materials, wood and steel etc

The actual UI for building on console anyway is horrible, I hate using it even though I do like the building aspect, just using that UI is downright annoying.

when it comes to building, I find its easier to set your ground floor out using actual floor sections, then the walls snap to the floors...then for the second story make sure one of your ground floor sections is the one with the stairs through it and an upper floor section already attatched, then you can add the next floor up as its snaps to this upper floor section, add your walls to the ground floor, they will snap the the lower floor section, add your ceiling to the ground floor, they will snap to the walls and remain below your already added upper floor section.

repeat as many times as you like for a tall regular shaped building

How do you set up supply lines?

Also, I can't seem to fathom a better way to see what/who is assigned to which resources:

Yes if the NPCs are actually farming the food you can hover over them and it highlights which crops they are assigned to, but if they walk off to another area of the settlement (Which they seem to do A LOT), then you can't tell. Anyway to get this info?

My Sanctuary seems to be bugged too; I have enough water, defence, beds and so forth and happiness will climb when I am there. But as soon as I fast travel away and check the settlement in my PipBoy, it tells me I have less settlers and not enough resource? Wtf?
