*** Official Fallout 4 - No Spoilers Allowed ***

Not sure, but I guess in the long run when you have shops and stuff you can use the settlers and assign them to the shops, which can be a way of making money or resources I think.

This basically.

The larger the community, the more money you make from shops. I am getting a steady amount of caps just from 12 people in Sanctuary, get caps from Workstation every time I visit.

Also, makes setting up a supply line easier with spare man resources.

When you get the Greygarden settlement, you can assign the robots to do the farming, freeing up man resources for defence, provision etc

Also, how long does it take for dead bodies to disappear, if at all? I removed everything on it and I still have a pile of naked dead bodies in...
Covenant, after everyone turned on me

Anybody else not bothered building ANY settlements? I did the initial stuff for the quest early on (water etc) but haven't bothered since!

I'm level 17

I think I will once I finish the game but at the moment it's just too much of a distraction because I know if I start, I'll just end up spending hours on it and not bothering with any quests or story missions

I'm really struggling for ammo right now. I have the Scrounger perk which means you find more ammo, but I still seem to be running out quite often and I don't have enough money to keep buying it. Plus most of the people I buy from don't actually have very much on them.

You just sticking to one kind of weapon? I mainly stick with pistols, gone 4/5 for the extra damage and i switch between 3 or 4 of them with different ammo types. I've never run out, not even come close to having none at all ever.

I wasn't until last night when I started building it out a bit more to attract more settlers and I was quite enjoying it. Some of the settlements people have created and shared on the Fallout subreddits are mad!

I'm abotu 11 hours in, level 13-14 I think, and it's safe to say I am finally 'in to' the game now. Can't wait to play again!

Killed a thing called a 'glowing one' last night, which was accompanied by a legendary ghoul. I had to use pretty much all of my heal, loads of psycho things, all of my ammo, and the thing that slows down time in order to kill them both. Took me ages and I died a few times attempting it. But as a reward I got an awesome exploding rifle that I can't wait to try out on some enemies tonight.

Random encounter spoiler:

Anyone come across Brother Simon yet? What did you do when you did?

Where did you fight these Ghouls?

Was it that National Guard place?

Its Fusion Cell ammo I keep running out of, really like the laser rifles but the ammo seems scarce!

It depends on who you are fighting I guess, I tend to switch to laser ammo if everone I'm fighting it playing star wars...

But some places I find everyone drops .308 for instance so I will switch to using a gun with that ammo type.

I have over 1k worth of fusion ammo. Much less traditional ammo types. (Apart from 10mm)

I started again last night and by the time I got my base sorted at sanctuary I was level 6. I love the building aspect of this game!

One thing I have learnt is not to try and control too large an area. On my last character I walled off all of sanctuary but it was too big. Now I just have the central area fenced off and it is much easier to manage.

When you cross over the bridge at sanctuary go left and follow the river. You will come to a droid dumping ground. If you use the console to activate the droid, do not attack it! It is hard as nails and took so much ammo to bring it down. I am talking 2 nukes, 14 rockets, minigun, shotgun. It is mental.

I activated it but didn't attack it, is there any other point to it? I was hoping it might have some use

I took the holotape and now 'control it' when I ever visit any of the following area it can patrol. I used it when visiting the Olivia Satellite place, and even randomly chose a Fort place on the list and followed it.

It killed everything that wasn't friendly with ease and I got the levelling as I just followed it. Managed to follow it for half a map heading East before I got distracted by the Police Station in Cambridge.

I say control, more tasking it to do eliminate all unfriendlies in chosen military site, that's about it

Just got the platinum on this now. Think I can put it away till the DLC comes out now :D

Loved every second of it. Great game.
