**** Official Fallout 4 Thread ****

Think I'll sit tight before getting the season pass, would rather know what I'm spending £25 on.

I mean I have every confidence in Bethesda's DLC given how good it was for FO3/NV/Skyrim/Oblivion etc, but hey - always good to know. :)

Ugh didn't check the minimum specs before I ordered the game. How bad do you reckon playing on an Athlon x3 455 will be?

so will Fallout 4 actually be able to make use of 8 threads? I have an i5 3570k and haven't found it to be a bottleneck with any games I've played recently - GTA V, Witcher 3...

It'll run like ass because it's Bethesda, it'll be the same on consoles too. Oblivion runs like a dog on my system yet Witcher 3 is smooth as silk? Skyrim was okay but honestly without an SSD and it being installed on a seperate drive to what my OS is, that doesn't have great performance either.

Fallout 3 bluescreens every 10 minutes and New Vegas stutters like a 3 legged horse! This might be better though, the further away from Gamebryo they go with Creation, the better it will run.

After seeing minimum specs im going to wait for a game of the year edition, by that time all the bugs should be ironed out too. Just no graphics cards taking my fancy so will wait to they move away from 28nm

I've pre-ordered from CD-Keys, building a Skylake rig ready in time for its release.
I'm not massively hyped tbh, but I needed an excuse to upgrade and it's nice to be 'involved', and just to have a nice big PC release.
I love Skyrim, so hopefully Fallout will carry some of its magic... though a Barren Nuclear Wasteland worries me, how can they make it as beautiful as a modded Skyrim Meadow?
