**** Official Fallout 4 Thread ****

Aah, good old Bethesda. Just killed a bloatfly and was not surprised to discover whilst looting it that it was carrying a sub machine gun!

Done two minutemen missions. Rescue a hostage, and recover a family heirloom... Now where have I seen that before?
 
There are only a few times that I'm at all bothered by my line-limited 1.8MBps. 4 hours to download FO4 is one of those times.

There is a lot wrong with Fallout 4, but any game where I can walk into a room and be greeted by a skeleton in a bath surrounded by 3 mannequins, 1 brandishing a plunger and the others knives ...gets my vote!
 
I must be the only person in here that just let it auto detect settings and pressed go. :D I am really enjoying this so far but it's still early days, I am only about 2 hours in. I have no idea what drivers I am on but everything so far seems to be working well without any crashes.

That's good but I just point blank refuse to play it on medium settings especially with my system specs, I still have nightmares that there is no crossfire ready drivers for this game on launch. My expectations as a gamer have been destroyed but alas I will find a sweet spot with my frame rate and enjoy not gonna let anything stop me playing my most anticipated game of all time.
 
Crashed on start up for a while...had to use AMD beta drivers.

Buggy as hell in interfaces. Lots of wrong subtitles being displayed in conversations or none at all. Not to mention the lag spike you get when you click on a chat option.
 
Performance is crap @ 1440p the frames can drop into the upper 30s in some areas.

980 Ti Twin Frozr.
4790K @4.4
8GB Ram.
Game on Samsung 850

locked my FPS now at 100 and game is running beautifully no terminal bugs no mouse accel fov 100 vsync off everything max and my 970 is breezing it... cant believe how fast time goes playing this amazing game.. night!
 
290X, auto detect max settings, blur off and play the game, runs fine?

Had the terminal bug once but they'll probably patch it so until then I'll just press F5 before I access a terminal

Locking your FPS +1, my monitors 60Hz FPS locked at 75.
 
Some people just bitch and moan over everything. Yes it has a few bugs but overall its a fantastic game that will only get better with time and mod support.

A few of you need to put your toys back in the pram and get over yourselves.

This. Like EVERY other game they have released will require a few tweaks, deal with it.
 
Am I using G-Sync??

NV Control panel V-sync set to : Use Application setting.
Fallout4_Default (in games folder): iPresentInterval=0
Fallout4Prefs (in docs folder):iPresentInterval=0
Frame capped in Afterburner to 60fps

Can some confirm them settings are correct? Cheers
 
PC gamers really can be too picky. Im enjoying this for what it is. Couple bugs here and there but its early release.
