Shadow distance is the fps killer at hiigh/ultra in cities.

Always seem to be out of ammo anyway to get more other than buying from merchants?

Anyone with performance issues, first thing to try is drop shadow distance to medium. For me on a single 290 the difference outside was drops to 20fps or 55-60fps with everything else ultra.
anyone found a favourite hide away place?
I have found a nice secret room where you have to open a expert safe to get into it
Anyone else built a wall about a third of the way around sanctuary before giving up?!
yes!!
started on the left as you come over the bridge, then gave up later on there the house with the cellar is.
Have decided to beef up the castle now as that looks like it would be more easy to protect under a attack
. All I had to do was pick roughly 5000 locks, be mean to everyone I talked to, take a load of class A chems and then murder a load of dudes for her quest. if only it was this easy in real life

i have one all the way around

. Really disappointing as I now only have this laptop and it seems it wont be able to play FO4. Ran all Fallout and Elder Scrolls heavily modded just fine, but it seems the new wave of games is too much to handleI've been using The Castle. You can build it up pretty well, it is just a shame there is so much rubble that gets in the way of even ground.
set in the falloutprefs.ini (located in mydocuments/fallout4)

Why on earth do people seem to be avoiding Diamond City? Most of the best NPCs in the game are there. 2 of the most important companions are there, the best vendors...and the main quest sends you there really early.
Otherwise got loads to do first!
