@ Angilion Mods do affect the Atomic Store as Bethesda renamed ALL the files for that in Patch 6 & adjusted the entries in the ini file so you must remove all mods now to fix that until the modders rework their mods.

Ah, that makes sense. The only mod I still want to use is Better Inventory...and I see that the author of that mod has thoughtfully recently posted the required .ini changes to make it work with patch 6. Lovely.

Many a True Nerd has put together a 2.5hr dissection of F076 if you have nothing better to do. It's from a positive ‘how to improve the game’ point of view and some of his suggestions are rather interesting, I dont agree with them all but there is some good stuff in there which if Bethesda are listening may improve the overall experience.

Got a hell of a weapon last night, Two Shot Explosive The Dragon....

Well over 1k damage. Utterly ridiculous.

Bring on the Scorchbeasts! With fully ranked rifleman, expert rifleman and master rifleman as well as 2.5x stealth shots... I think it could be entertaining.

How do you get that much damage? I have fully ranked non-automatic rifle perks (*) and The Dragon does 375 damage. Two Shot now adds only 20% damage, as does Explosive.

With all of that, the rate of fire of The Dragon is so hilariously bad that even >1K damage per shot gives it a lower DPS than a non-legendary rifle. Which is itself far less effective than a sword cobbled together from a ski or a couple of blades attached to a glove. Melee is currently vastly more powerful than any ranged weapon.

* My character is specialised for rifles and shorguns. I am well aware that is extremely ineffective with the current ludicrously unbalanced "balance", but I like it so I use it.

Scorebeast level 50,65 or 80 maybe (I posted in here pics a few weeks ago I took 3 x lvl 80 on my own with melee only ;) ) try it on the SBQ I doubt it will make much difference that is really hard to down now even a crack team struggle to take her down within the time limit :(

Not looking forward to the new content DLC next week it sounds like an ingame bar & you have to mix different drinks for the new quests & that's it after 4 months its the best they can come up with  Just proves Bethesda have so few people working on this game. Also starting to become unstable again last few days its server disconnecting again without warning after being stable for a few weeks its going the other way rapidly downhill.

My guess is that Bethesda have cut the resources available to FO76 even further. A fwe more months and the server it's running on will probably be a 486 someone found in a cupboard :)

I've also noticed that FO76 destabilises pretty badly anyway. It's noticeable even with it being taken offline weekly for maintainence.

I think the new content DLC might provide 30 minutes of play. Maybe, if they do it right.

I'm still playing a bit, but I'm really just pootling about and mildly grinding to finish off some more of the unbugged challenges to get atom points I don't use or want. And I still haven't found a rabbit for the "kill different critters" quest.

With the 2.5x Stealth shot buff you are nearly at 1k.

Ah, right. I was thinking of the bonus from the stealth shot perk as an afterthought rather than part of the main thing. Maybe because I don't do stealth. It strikes me as too odd to be stealthy in very large and extremely loud power armour. It also seems like too much bother to try to track down the remains of mobs I shot from far away to loot them, especially as I have Bloody Mess rank 3 so the remains are often quite small pieces. When playing Fallout games, at heart I am a scavver so I want to see what there is to be scavenged. I made and scrapped a few dozen lever action rifles to learn key mods, so I have a top level hardened scoped stabilised lever action rifle that works well as a sniper rifle, but I find I'm not really using it. It has more range than my handmade rifle and does ~60% more damage per shot, but the rate of fire is far lower and it needs reloading every 5 shots (compared to 85 for my handmade rifle) and the reloading is relatively slow. I may as well scrap it and drop the ammo for it. That would save me maybe 20lbs in carried weight.

I encountered the stretched mob bug in a particularly amusing way last night. My camp is a bit to the north of Whitesprings and I had a lot of materials I'd just bulked to sell so I couldn't fast travel. So I walked there and encountered a pack of glowing wolves not far from the north entrance of Whitesprings. The pack leader was a 3 star legendary glowing alpha wolf...with a neck at least a hundred feet long. I never saw the body, just this little head on an immensely long neck swinging around ferociously like some kind of cross between an elongated hydra and a wolf, but worse. I shot the other wolves and managed to get a few hits on the stretched hydrawolf by using VATS, then the fighting triggered the Whitesprings gate guards to join in. The resulting fight was utter chaos and derangement that Lovecraft would have applauded. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't find the body of the hydrawolf - a 3 star legendary mob might perhaps have dropped a useful legendary - but it was entertaining to watch.

The upcoming patch 7 has some possibly significant changes to it.

Highlights for me personally are:

For heavy and semi-auto energy weapons, we’ve greatly reduced the amount of condition damage they take per shot. Your heavy energy weapons should now last four to five times longer, and semi-auto energy weapons should last twice as long before needing repairs. We’ve also given semi-auto energy weapons an additional damage boost of +10% so they have a little more bite.

I've just started trying out a Tesla rifle for a change, so that will be useful. Patch 7 also makes similar changes to heavy weapons.

The amount of budget space that some buildable objects consume, such as Turrets and Lights, has been reduced, but they now also have a maximum amount that can be placed in your C.A.M.P. or Workshop. The build menu recipes for these objects will show you how many are already present in your C.A.M.P., including the ones you have stored, and the total amount of each you can place.

That might make a difference because right now even the lowest level turret takes 10% of your building budget.

Occasionally, when we bring new content to the game, it may need to be placed somewhere that was previously usable as a C.A.M.P. location. We can't have C.A.M.P.s and quests occupying the same space and while we do our best to limit these cases, sometimes it’s unavoidable. Starting with Patch 7, and in future updates, we plan to add a few new “no-build zones” to the game world that will prevent players from constructing C.A.M.P.s in those areas.

Which strongly implies that they're still planning on adding new content.

There's also mention of better tracking for challenges, including the ability to tag challenges so that any progress you make towards them results in an onscreen message. Might be useful in some circumstances. I'd prefer them to fix the broken challenges, but hey ho. You get what you get.

Most probably as Todd Howard has his main team from Fallout 4 working on Starfield although I reckon Fallout 5 will come before that somehow as new IP vs the sequel to the $750M day 1 sales all time entertainment launch record of Fallout 4 is a no brainer! Bethesda Austin did most of 76 it shows they do not have much experience either :(

The game is weird its been flawless for almost 2 weeks then last few days very unstable. I doubt Bethesda Austin even know what's causing it either

The new DLC next week sounds awful its just a bar & mix beverages quests & other challenges around that plus 1 new legendary creature. The proper new content does not come out until Spring-Summer.

May 23rd Legendary Vendor
April 9th Shear Terror
May 7th Legendary Scouts missions & events for higher level players
March 19th Fasnacht Parade - timed 1 week only events

I am just trying to buy all Plans right now but missing many some are bugged & no-one can get them since patch 6. At the same time I am also still trying to harvest more Atoms for the new Atom Shop cosmetics arriving from next week onwards (they are also retiring a lot of stuff from the shop which sold poorly).

Definitely not. Powder rifles don't make a "crackling sound", don't have "very bright yellow sun glow effect" and don't do "a hell of allot [sic] of damage". While they allot a lot of damage to each shot, they also allot a lot of time to reloading. The damage per second of the dragon black powder rifle is very low. Most players sell it or just throw it away.

My guess would be that they're using full auto heavy weapons, either ballistic weapons with a very high rate of fire and incendiary/explosive bullets or energy weapons. Either would fit the rough description mohawk made. I've not seen what they're talking about, so I'm speculating.

Ultracite Gatling Laser fully modded out with all the perk cars enabled for it. Green ammo is Ultracite I think & Orange is the other Ammo type. @ Semple has one of these babies ;)

Since Patch 6 its not been possible to buy the Plans they went AWOL for no reason so unless you want to buy one from the reddit market wait until Bethesda patch it back in. They are also promising to fix all the broken challenges but Patch 7 just got put back a day to tomorrow so who knows if they fix it out not then

Been waiting patiently for a few patches then picked up a couple of copies for a tenner each to play with my wife.

Have to say I'm really enjoying it, just pootling around exploring places & rummaging through junk:p

Are you guys using a reshade/enb to clear the graphics up a bit?

One useful tip I found out was do not pick up any Known Plans or Known Recipes. This is because if you do it then resets the counter so your next find of a Plan or Recipe will also be a Known one! Leave them there increases the chance of your next drop being a new one to learn ;)

They only drop as a high level enemy weapon right now. Until the Plans are fixed just keep playing the ingame Events around Watoga is your best chance of getting one otherwise try farming West Tek mutants.
