Been waiting patiently for a few patches then picked up a couple of copies for a tenner each to play with my wife.
Have to say I'm really enjoying it, just pootling around exploring places & rummaging through junk![]()
That's the essence of Fallout, IMO. I've done all the quests and explored everywhere apart from the Lucky Hole mine and I've read all the notes and listened to all the holotapes
and I'm still enjoying a bit of pootling around rummaging through junk. I'm going to try to finish all of the unbugged challenges apart from the group ones and the "kill a bazillion <x> with a million different types of weapons" ones because those are just tedious.
One little place I found that was delightfully deranged in proper raider style was a series of traps on the edge of a cliff with corpses attached to them. Trigger the traps and the corpses are hurled off the cliffs to sail away and down. The raiders had chairs and beer to watch the show. That's proper Fallout raider style.
Right now my main goal to is farm the Lode Bearing and Monster Mash events often enough to get the top prizes for them. I'm about 60% of the way on both. I might also install the perk card loadout mod to reduce the tedium of swapping half a dozen or more perk cards every time I want to craft or repair anything. The whole perk cards thing is rather silly...I forget how to fix a gun until I hold a card. eh? How does that make any sense?
Are you guys using a reshade/enb to clear the graphics up a bit?
No, I'm just playing at 2560x1440 with ultra settings. Graphics are fine by my standards.
thanks guys ill try getting one later i spend few hours farming stims in watoga medical
That seems a bit odd to me - I always have too many stimpaks just from picking up ones I find lying around while pootling around and scavving. They're one of the things I sell to vendors, when I have >50 or so. I craft a few every now and then, just because I can.
I found a Furious Mole Miner Gauntlet yesterday. I'll gather some mole rat teeth to mod it with an extra blade and see how that works out. Although I do like shotguns for close range. I'm using a Ghoul Slayer combat shotgun, modded with hardened receiver and swift magazine, and it's particularly good for the Whitesprings golf club with all the shotgun perks. Normal L68 ghouls can be one-shotted at close range and almost everything is staggered by it. Shotguns with the relevant perks are the bomb for close range ballistic weapons. I even use shotguns on flying scorchbeasts - it staggers them, so they hover in place and I can pull out my handmade rifle and spew bullets at them with ease. I know that melee is currently far more powerful than ranged, but I like pootling around with a rifle and a shotgun and all the relevant perks.
There's certainly a tenner's worth of fun to be had.
