**** Official Fallout 76 Thread ****

It's annoying, there is no consistency as to what causes a crash or disconnect. You get some people who have multiple disconnects per session and others (like me) who've not had one since the beta finished.
Mind you, the people who get hideous frame drops and freezes all seem to need to push triangle to reload (#pcmr4lyfe!)
PC is the most stable build of the lot. There is a decent experience in here struggling to get out from behind the numerous bugs & design flaws but deep down it has Fallout 4 DNA running through it :)

They need to change their company ethos and admit it wasn't a good focus for the company to simplify things for the sake of it, but that's Todd and Pagliarulo's brainchild..

Like holy **** the "i am the demigod" skyrim and FO4's sad boring excuse of a story arc is such poor childish writing, I get they're trying to smooth out the rough edges of a hands-free play experience, but man... they went too far. The huge amount of money that FO4 made was almost entirely built on image and clever advertising that i can't tell if they really believe these systems work for that growth in revenue or if they really just hate the consumer.

^^ Agreed, but you only have to look in this thread to see the lengths people will go to excuse and apologise for it all... until the vast majority of people are extremely displeased there's no hope of it changing...

I'm still laughing at this. What a mess Bethsdada have become. Not sure what is more worrying, the fact that they're going to use the same engine for the next ES title or the fact that they're making a complete balls up with a game that was likely part of Fallout 4.

Surely thats a trades descriptions act breech?

PC is the most stable build of the lot.

If that's true then I feel even sorrier for suckers who bought it on console because the PC version is not stable. I get disconnected from the server and dumped back to the main menu every couple of hours on average and I'm certainly not the only one. I've modified my ini files to force the game to save every 2 minutes instead of every 10 minutes because of the instability. Console players can't even do that. The game load time is farcical, well over a minute from game menu to playing and sometimes over 2 minutes.

But it's been badly mutated by FEV and radiation :)

I agree that there's a decent Fallout game buried in the sewage that is FO76, but in some ways that makes it worse. If it was sewage all the way through I could dismiss it more easily.

The GAME uk stores description lists it as being in a canvas bag too...

https://www.game.co.uk/en/fallout-76-power-armour-edition-uk-retail-exclusive-2395004

Full-Scale Wearable T-51 Power Armor Helmet with West Tek Canvas Carrying Bag: This wearable helmet faithfully replicates the in-game model and comes complete with voice modulator speaker, functioning LED head lamp, and custom V.A.T.S. sound feature.

Only disclaimer is that the prices may differ to instore. I might actually contact their customer services and try to get it pulled, the game is enough of a joke as it is.

I bought the fallout nuke from the fallout 4 limited edition and it was great quality compared to stuff like this

That isn't a good thing though, FO4 wasn't great either.

They need to go back to FO3 and start again.

"It just works".... Where have we heard that one before lol

Funnily enough Fo4 is my favorite of the modern Fallouts.

Though I'd say I'm probably biased by the fact I didn't spend 80% of my playtime in 4 staring at my desktop wondering how much progress I just lost.

well they are offering atoms now on twitter for the bag debacle lol talk about missing the point. if i had ordered one of these special editions id be planning how i get close to tod howard so i can punch him.

It is. They'll likely find a way around that somehow. Keep buying collectors editions folks, you're helping the gaming situation alright..

Game companies now have changed - they want that slice of the MTX cash that Rockstar and EA have been feasting on for so long. Blizzard going mobile with diablo, Bethsdada testing the waters with paid mods years ago, and Ubisoft with its ingame stores on their games - things are changing for the worse and they're aimed not at us current gen gamers but the next gen gamers who see this as the norm.

Sadly its gamers fueling this. It is also why I can't see ES6 or the next Fallout being made with the same passion the older ones were developed with. Like Bioware with ME: Andromeda, Bethsdada have internally changed too much.

Yea I bet they feel like total mugs lol. This is why I never pre-order anything anymore. Give it a week and watch the reactions.

Especially now that you can already find the game for close to £20 on key seller sites, because people aren't buying it.

Just watched the Worthabuy review of 76'.
He may be loud and opinionated, but actually, I agree with the majority of his reviews where I've tried a game, so think he's worth checking out.
His summary in two words seemed to be "ocelots pee", which probably says it all.
Very happy that I managed to cancel my pre-order prior to it being released. Such a shame, as I really really enjoyed the previous Fallout and Skyrim games.
