Official FIFA 22 Thread

I usually get 60~ points in WL, regardless of team/tactics. Tactics just seem totally random and never really help much.

Since the start of TOTY the gameplay has felt slower and more clunky most of the time. Not sure if it's patch related or what.

I actually faced a Pro Player this weekend and it was death by 1000 shot cancels. Horrendous.

TOTY Mbappe is an enigma. Compared to his gold card he's significantly better in the air, and has a better long range shot especially with his weak foot. Aside from that, not a huge difference really. Sometimes very inconsistent, doesn't make the runs you'd always want. POTM Vini Jr is similarly effective and actually feels a bit faster on and off the ball.
 
FUT has just turned into Top Trumps, on paper these amazing stats but just how many useable cards in thge game? It's ridiculous really.

I gave up on rivals this week, not doing that anymore, not enough time to try and get 8 wins. It was hard work bringing myself to do the WL. I guess I need to change up the team one last time and might get me into March before sacking it off.
 
Built a god squad during TOTY and got the platinum this morning so I have no reason to grind this game anymore.

I'll try and get my 8 wins in rivals each week, and play the WL if EA ever include any decent players, but I'm moving over to HFW, Elden Ring and then GT7 if it's any good.
 
giving up now on this for a while to play Horizon.

the tipping point came when the tactics I was using all last week got me into Elite with ease, qualified again with ease, played the first 4 WL games Friday won all 4 easily. Saturday, was like like EA just nerfed everything i'd setup, no pressing, no movement, defense doing random things. Clearly, EA's scripting system kicking in to make you want to change things up and buy some player. bye bye EA

The game is a joke to be fair......

Played 6 games yesterday and 4 this morning and the game was fine mostly - was 10 0 with some really tough but fun games.

Then decided to give it a go this afternoon and gameplay was shocking - I lost 6 in a row and then managed to scrape a win to get to my 11 wins.

Exactly, there definitely some scripting kicking as soon as it detects your in course for above rank 5.

Got a few videos where my keeper has actually moved out of the way on his own giving them a free goal.
 
Not sure it's the worst promo they've ever run or the best. The cards they're releasing are absolutely ridiculous, especially the objective cards, and will improve most gold teams.

Seems like a promo to tempt players back to the game.
 
How many people would you say have left the game?

Joined this years late myself a few weeks ago. Do enjoy it on&off but still has the same issues for me it always has and infuriating at times as always.

Do find it having joined later on to build a reasonable team quicker at least.
 
Jumped back on yesterday for a few games, they seem to have butchered this with the latest patch/patches. Not surprised this thread is almost dead.
 
I still play weekend league and the qualifiers each week, I get my football fix without getting stressed out with rivals.
The different cards make me keep changing my team and that keeps up the longevity.

sad times seeing this thread dead, used to be the top of console section every day. RIP Fifa!

Games been dead for many years - same old crap with gameplay issues, toxicity, glitches, drop back, gameplay speed inconsistencies.....

When you have a good normal speed game vs a decent player its great. The rest of it is a big steaming pile. Other good things since I came back is the amount of content, different gameplay modes.
 
I'm still spending a few hours a week doing the BPM > League SBC > Icon pack grind but I haven't spent more than an hour playing the game. Was planning on getting my 8 wins in rivals but played 3 games yesterday, all three went to extra time at 0-0 and my opponents just sat in their box waiting for a single counter attack. Last few patches have made it so AI assisted there's barely any difference between online and offline gameplay now :o
 
I've about given up as well.

The gameplay is just a complete random mess most of the time and it's too frustrating to play for very long.

The promos are just boring.
