getting way too toxic for me. I must have had at least 4 people recently get a kickoff goal against me only to pause then start sending me messages telling me not to waste my time as they'll just quit if I make it 1-1.
Just motivates me more to try and make them quit really.
Even had one a few weeks back sending me death threats for 10 mins straight.

This never happened when you weren’t rewarded for losing a game. There was never this many quits in the weekend league when you got nothing for a loss, players at least tried winning a game even when 3-0 down.
All the grinding people do for cards, money spent to get a good team only for them to rage quit in the actual game. It’s ridiculous really.

I remember one game in FIFA22 at 0:0 someone hacked me down in the box, red card and they disconnected before I could take the penalty, it didn't count as a win. Might have been in a Friendly not sure.
I'm a bit torn on it, on the one hand it's kind of annoying when I just want to play, I've been 0-7 down and kept playing. Also had a game recently I was 3-0 up at halftime and lost, whereas a lot of people bail out. On the other hand I guess the 'metagame' of FIFA is kind of setup to incentivise effective use of time, it's probably the case that rage quitting 3 games and winning one in 30mins is better than playing 2 full games and losing both in 30mins. I noticed in FIFA22 there was some sort of 'gentlemens agreement' in a repeatable friendly tournament that you'd quit when going a goal down even though the actual rules were not golden goal, unlike some other friendly tournaments. I guess the idea there is game theory dictates that if the community as a whole plays games lasting say 5mins on average instead of 15mins then there will just be more rewards to go around because there are 3x as many winners, but it was kind of annoying when you just wanting to play a nice game.
I'd say at the moment for me the ratio is something like:
45% I get destroyed
15% I lose a close-ish game
15% I win a close-ish game
15% They ragequit
10% I destroy them (to be fair it might be 15/10 the other way roudn)
So basically only about 30% of the games are good, which is a shame cos I really enjoy those ones, when it's 4-2 with 10mins left and then it goes 4-3 and the pressure is on, maybe a last minute equaliser or breakaway goal at the other end.
Certainly the matchmaking seems to pair me with better players a lot, obviously part of that is because most players are better than me but say the Centurion Cup friendly just gone, I didn't even make it to the 10wins you need for full rewards from the 28 matches or whatever it is.

I get a number of people pause at kick off and quit or run to their goal as if they give me a free win and kick it out of play and quit.
My all time favourite is winning a penalty and about to kick the ball and they quit.
How you don’t get a win for a quit is just beyond me.
The weekend league in particular is the most casual mode they do now which is so strange, it’s easy to get good rewards and matchmaking is far easier than elite rivals which ultimately isn’t fun and I’m not good enough to do a great deal in there bar get frustrated.

FIFA UT has been toxic as well as a real drain on time, money and mental health for a good few years now.
The daily content and added modes haven't made the game more fun at all. It's a card simulator in which the majority aren't even usable if you want to compete.

There isn’t one and that’s why people go back every year.
PES or eFootball as it’s now called is tragic in terms of gameplay and they’ve made it pay2lose as well now.
I say pay2lose as that’s what the vast majority of fifa players pumping money into UT are doing.

do yourself a favour mate and **** it off, i've just played seasons for about 4 years now and it lets you enjoy fifa while having time for others games.
I haven't bought 23... yet. It was more a response to the posts about the state of the game and how people play it and what EA let them get away with.

He’s got that strange dribble where he kicks the ball just that little bit too far in front of him. Gutted as I play 352 and he was going to be the answer to the my LM sub problem. Back to the drawing board.

No TOTY for me. Was too impatient to wait until whole team so did half yesterday and half on Friday

Nice team, I still think Yaya is the key player on this game, he is immense for me in every game.
I got ok rewards this weekend, the TOTW had no usable cards other than subs, but I got Oshimen, Diatta and David. I pulled Rashford, who goes for a bit and some other 87/s in tradeable packs. I have so much fodder and it's so easy to build up coins at the moment, I'm waiting for an SBC, but nothing of interest right now, waiting for Eusebio

I’ve tried running Eusebio and Mbappe together numerous times including this year and I can never get them to play nicely together. In theory it should be the dream partnership.
Dare I say it, I might put Mbappe LW, but probably not. I love Ginola up front with Mbappe, great combo. I know I hate playing the same SBC players but Payet is just ridiculous, not sure when I will drop him, he is the Fekir of 23.
