Liverpool *should* be good in time - but you might need at least 3 seasons to reap the rewards. Be patient, just don't get sacked or relegated :D

What do you guys do with your youth? I am having more luck finding 15/16 year olds but they are obviously not ready for the first team. I find that if I keep them at my club and train them they will improve quite rapidly - equally if i send them out on loan as KEY players they will get lots of first team experience BUT they will not train as quickly. So what are you best doing?

I rage quit already.

Did ok first proper game, then played Fulham, was 3-0 up at HT, lost 4-3. Then had Fulham in the cup, up 2-0 at HT, lost 3-2.

Un ******* believable.

What I usually do is get a few goal lead then if they pull one back I have a DM on the bench who i bring on and just play as an anchor man to see the game out.

Why do you always quit when you start losing? I always persevere and try to get out of the **** I've made.

Can anyone tell me quickly - when setting up your first career game, i load 51 nations but most are viewable only. If I want the players to show up in my scouting range (to give me the best choice) does it matter if they are playable or viewable?

Because I have played as Liverpool about 50 times now, and 75% of the time, when I start doing poorly as them, you get fired around xmas. The Liverpool board is a bit weird on this, some people have their job status as secure, or very secure, and still get fired at the end of the first season.

You need to do reasonably well straight away, if you want to have any chance of having a good game with them.

Also for some reason, since the last patch, all the squad react negatively to pretty much ANY team talk you give them, except Carragher who is happy whatever happens.

Hmm have you asked your board for more time when this happens? Sometimes it is just enough to get you through the season. This is why I like playing as the underdogs - small teams and build them up from nothing. This way any result above relegation is seen as good and when you start winning things improve rapidly.

They do provide you with extra time, and then when you are at the end of the season, you are generally still gone.

I have played games with the smaller clubs, but I am a Liverpool supporter, and I want a good game with them, where I don't get sacked straight away.

I enjoyed my other games, but I played the game so much for the first 5-6 months it was released, and didn't play as Liverpool, so now it is time for me to try and get them sorted.

Edit - Also, I always start with Auto rep, as I don't believe in whacking it on International as that is just a bit cheeky, which is probably why the players don't listen to my team talks etc.

I tend not to play as the larger clubs so I wouldn't know, but I have been sacked a few times playing the smaller clubs ;)

I star all my games on low rep too and I set my assistant to take the team talks ;)

I hired a new assistant, with 20 man management. Negative reactions from the team talks still! It is unbelievable. They really mucked Liverpool around in the patch. I had a game with them before it was released, and I did alright. Not amazing, but at least Suarez didn't get sent off in nearly every other game, for 2 yellows for diving! And he could score goals. He is lucky to hit 10 goals a season now.

I know we are not the team we once were, but for the team to be nowhere near challenging the top 5-6 places is just silly!

Sometimes the team talks will appear red but when you click to continue they turn green! Bit weird that. But 20 man management is very good, but what other traits does he have? Is he British or some other nationality? I don't worry too much about team talks when the assistant does them. It's a nightmare when I do them though!

It is Francisco Ayerstrean, Rafa's old number 2. Quality staff member, can be picked up for free on when the game starts. Has good stats on everything.

I am going to have yet another go. Going to do the team talks myself, the calm - enjoy yourselves today talk, as that seems to make all the players 'relaxed' all the time.

I think when you get a bit further into the game, then they take more notice of what other things you say, you just have to win their trust & respect first.

Well I am 20 seasons in to my save at the top of the Premiership and have won everything more than once :D I don't use team talks or shouts now, and I stick to one formation throughout. My assistant does the lot, including match prep.

I just feel like playing 1 season as L'pool, just to see if its that hard.

Do it, you will probably do amazingly and put me to shame!

I just cannot get them to work together well. Perhaps it is because there is so many players in their debut season? They are not gelled together. Also it is a difficult start as you have the Europa League, so you play a couple of friendlies, and then into competitive matches.

By all means Malt, please, start a game and let me know how you do. And then if you do better, tell me how!
