The shame. Got a couple of longish flights in a few weeks so have FM on standby. Also been trying to rouse the troops for one of the final ATPs but having no success!

Long flights are crying out for FM! (well short ones to, sat in plenty of airports with it out). How can people not be roused by Loop, Mogwai, OM and comets on fire?!?!

I'm actually more tempted by the first weekend, but it's sold out. Mighty need a cheeky reinstall on FM this weekend then.

Do you know if steam retains all your saves if you uninstall it?

Ah fair enough, me and a mate are obsessed with the second weekend (he owes me a lot of money for sorting it now).

Steam doesn't touch the save files I don't think (or the face pack/additions) so just install and it'll all be there ;)

I can take injuries, no problem, but I hate injuries that always happen in the same position. My midfield is full of injuries!!

Icarbona (Plays DC for me, but he is accomplished as DM and MC) - 11 days-2wks
Marcolini (MC) - 2-4wks
Aloi (AMC) - 4-5 wks
Rama (AMC) - 5-6 wks
Lindgren - 7wks-2months

So now I have 2 DMCs, 2 MCs and 0 AMCs, when i should have 2-4-2.

And Marconi has been injured for 2 months already. Milne has just come from a 3 week injury too.

Both my MCs are playing with 80% condition -.-'

So happy

It's happened to me before as well, had 3 left wingers break in quick succession one season, that was a bit much as once first team opportunities appears for one guy he went out with an injury a few weeks later...

The way they stack up is a bit odd in this fm now I have played it more just because it seems to be bursts in some positions...

So, the Pumas manager has left for some American team.

Now Pumas are a great team, who have just one the Liga MX Opening Stage with some 10 points (only one game has been played in the closing stage, which they won).

They have also won the league for the last 2 years (not a bad team eh!)

They have been eliminated from the N. American Champions League in the group stage (top team only qualifies) so continental competition will be delayed to next year.

I have no idea about transfer budget, wage budget, rules etc. but I feel they are quite high for N. American teams. I have just applied, but I am confident they will approach me.

Although I am doing well with Napoli. I am first with 4 points, with one game less. I have won all games, except 3 draws. I also play City in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Although I feel that I can't lose the opportunity of managing one of the best N. American teams!!

Amazing please tell me you took the mexican team job?! The league there has a funny opening and closing stages deal but other than that it's pretty simple to do! (no budget caps and things like that)

I need some advice guys.

I took the job at QPR after a very successful few years with Kilmarnock. I've noticed a bit of an oddity though to do with scouting. My scouts are providing me with shortlists which is great but ALL of them reported to me are 4 star tops. No 5 star. Now just to confuse the issue, some 5 stars ARE appearing in my shortlist, but none are being reported to me. They just seem to appear out of nowhere. It's really weird. As Kimarnock manager my shortlist was working as I expected it would and there were some 5 stars being found. So why the change? I even deleted my shortlist when I took over QPR as there is always a season or so shortfall between different leagues. So my shortlist is fresh, and over a season old now.

Didn't play yet. Still have to wait for them to approach me. I will take it, although the Napoli team I am leaving behind is AMAZING.

Is 'Hide unrealistic targets' ticked?
Oh god... I'm reinstalling it :o

:D:D:D

So, PUMAS approached me, and I took the job...

..only after winning 1-0 to Brescia and demolishing Roma 4-1 (they had 2 shots, 1 on target!) in the Coppa Italia.

I signed a 1 1/2 year contract, just enough to win the N.A. Champions League.

I was 35k over the wage budget, so the first thing I did was speak to the board. They upgraded my wage budget by 34k/w, so now I am 1k over.

They upgraded my transfer revenue up to 85%.

I have a 4.8M transfer budget to strengthen the squad.

Now I quit the game cause I have stuff to do. Didn't even look at the team.

Haha! That was a good couple of weeks at best? :p

Not very impressive. Although I lost my second game back and thought "Now I remember why I uninstalled this!" :)

Obviously I've only reinstalled it to make sure it's loaded up properly ahead of my impending travels... in two weeks time!

How's Bishop's Stortford coming along?

It's 2028 and they are on their second post me manager after pep was rubbish they signed up Antonio Conte who HAS SOLD ALL MY FULL BACKS  so instead of having a world class team they now play 3-5-2 and are ok, but have no full backs at all.

I'm waiting to see if they fall apart over the next few seasons and I have had 2 ad a half I game years at Montreal Impact, won 2 mls titles and realised I needed to win the Canada cup to get into the champions league (batty system). Not really playing it this week to get ready for that one last stab at getting the champions league there otherwise I'm leaving for somewhere else...

Do you think your team's ability to scout improves as you become better? For example at the start of my first season with QPR I had 11 scouts and they found 6 five star youths worthy of my consideration. Now a season in I have 14 scouts but two of those youths are five star and the rest are 4 - 4.5. So is this becuase the player ability has decreased or is this because my team has become better in the league? There must be some logic in this somewhere.

That guy is amazing, though how is his price so high with 18 months on his contract??

The scouting is funny, the reports have to be taken into context of a few things, their ability to judge potential/ability, their adaptability, their discipline and how good the current squad is (along with squad knowledge).

So when you have lots of new scouts that are good they know lots about a player but not a lot about the team and will give everyone massive ratings. Later on as everyone sort of gets to know the team its less prevalent to get such good kids as they aren't as over rated/hyped up....

After a while you get used to sort of skimming the scout reports and spotting the right kinds of player that will develop (the get angry when they are sold by later managers, pep sold my next big thing CB to United, then went to United again and sold him again!)

I'm always quite tempted to go do the MLS but I can't seem to tear myself away from the Blue Square! Where do yo uthink is next on your list?

I had the same problem after I left Stockport County. Had one the EPL a couple of times and had built an awesome squad. I left and the new guy has sold half of the decent players for about half the amount he could have got for them (still ended up shifting £111m of players out!) but they've now got the wrong formation for the players  I'm stuck with Crewe in L1 now trying to find my feet... with my World Class reputation :D

The strength of your team also has a bearing on this. Whereas some players would have been rated at 5 stars (current or potential ability) when you might have been a decent team. Now that you're an excellent team those same players would probably only come in a 3 stars.

Humm i haven't decided yet, might go for Argentina or Brazil and try out one of those odd leagues (or Australia) just for the really restrictive nature of them...

Or I am going to tear up Belgium/South Africa! :D

It's reassuring the game does like to break other peoples hard work as well... It's a little heart breaking to see my team completely dismantled by an idiot! Do Crew still have an amazing academy so you can almost do the entirely homegrown squad with them?? Plus I imagine world class rep helps a lot :p
