I think that's a tough one, I think he could play well as both CM and RM 6ft with high heading he would win many headers for your team in the middle.

Just had a weird game.
There was a random player in a white shirt sat down (Although as if on an invisible chair) on the pitch the entire game
EDIT : Also, made a new save with Chester, BSN, I have Jari Litmanen playing for me.. Lol.
His pace etc is awful, but he makes some decent plays.

What is this?
My sister came round today for me to help her with her CV and she asked what I do all day? I responded "Well, I'm meant to be setting up a company, but at the moment I spend all day playing computer games... occasionally minimising the screen when my girlfriend is close so it looks like I'm working!"
I felt ashamed. Then I felt awesome!
Also, first day of the season tomorrow. I'm going to get withdrawal symptoms from playing football manager... by going to a football game. That's pretty sad.
Haha! That's amazing, though I have just had an interview and stayed in the suit to motivate my team through a lucrative FA cup 4th round away day at spurs (praying for tv to help out cafc).
I keep forgetting real football started last weekend as well, going to be gutted having to find time to play FM and go to games and do stuff in the week...
Yeah, I was so unimpressed that I had a weekend full of social activities. Anyway, back on the FM wagon this morning. I'm currently sat in third in the Prem with 10 games to go. Likelihood is that I'm likely to finish 3rd-6th, but last year I finished 6th and missed out on all European competition
Also, my record states that I've won 8 competitions but I've just realised that I've won neither the FA or League Cup so far this save... just a load of pointless European Super Cups and World Club Cups. I'm still glad the prem is off set with the rest of the league by a couple of weeks, one more weekend of mucking about on FM and not having to miss my train to west brom because of it... (I can see this happening). How have you not won the proper cups!??! They are always key to a good season, though I am making it my mission to win the Johnstones Paint Trophy next year or the year after as I always miss it on the way up!
It sounds like you need European football for that cash injection that suddenly opens so much to you, with Bishops Stortford it made them just about with with a 14k stadium (new build in the bsp so there was no room for expansion till 2033, which I am nearly up to worryingly).
Jan 2030 at the moment, 2nd in the bsp behind Sunderland at the moment! Depending on social obligations/job interviews I think I'll be into league football by the weekend... (hopefully with the FA trophy in hand again) and hopefully on the road to rebuilding cafc!
I never put any impetus on the domestic cups for some reason, always field reserve teams, although I've just got through to the FA Cup final this season to play a struggling Chelsea team. 15 points away from Champions League football too.
On another note, how's the job search going?
I am Swansea and feel like I'm doing okay finishing 6th, 12th and 7th in the league in my first 3 seasons. No cup success as always had tough draws.
I don't understand how people are winning league titles and champions league titles with tiny teams with no transfer budgets. Are they cheating or something?

I am currently Newcastle in my second season with Cisse and Carroll up front. Carroll is currently on loan, and I have the option to sign him for £3.3m, however he wants £90k a week which although I have the budget I am reluctant to do.
He has scored 22 this season though, so I am hoping for a second loan season. Its annoying he is as greedy on the game as in real life!

Whenever I've started a save in the Prem, I've always really struggled to achieve any kind of success within the first few seasons. I normally have to wait until a couple of regens are starting to make a name for themselves as I find evaluating potential ability a lot easier with regens.
Talking about success though, finally won my first FA Cup. I think this is called a rout:
Also, a distinct lack of success could see Man Utd relegated. Not seen them in the Championship over the last few FMs:

That's an utterly surreal Premiership - and have never seen Man U on such a losing run before! Millwall are in League 1 in my save. Stockport who? lol.. Bournemouth have hit rock bottom too and are in the BlueBet Premier.
As toshj says, progress is about being patient. I've played as Bury, who started out in League 1 when I joined them. I eventually got them into the Premiership and eventually won the job lot including the Champions League. Not bad for a small club. But it took about 10 seasons of hard work and some clever transfers. But the key to success is to build a successful backroom. It is so important to have the best staff you can hire.

Yeah, Crewe, Stockport and Brentford are there as I took them up through the leagues. Bournemouth have been in the Prem for about a decade too, same as Millwall.
Very true about the backroom stuff. Completely essential. One thing I've never quite known, is whether the coaches are any better based on their reputation. For instance, if a coach has "unproven" or "obscure" reputation but has 20 for attacking attribute, will that make him any less effective than a coach with the same attacking attribute but who has a "continental" rating?
- Bit of a dilemma at the end. If I won my last match I finished in 3rd. If I lost, and WHU in 4th won then they would move up into 3rd above me, however they'd also relegate Man Utd at the same time. I lost, they won, I received about £1.3m less in prize money but UNITED GOT RELEGATED!

We all have too much free time on our hands and have made it to 2030....
Ah got to win the cups! It's strangely satisfying getting to the final and jumping around like its a real final... United being relegated is amazing! Liverpool are 19th in my save and it would be amazing if they were relegated!
Job search is a bit hit and miss, a few temp jobs but nothing career wise sorted, didn't get todays interview either but so long as cafc don't get too engrossing before the end of the summer something should come up. Are you still able to get away without working??

The problem is that I'm being asked to register '4 players that have been trained by Man Utd for 3 years between 15th & 21st birthdays'.
I've tried every player (from 1st squad, U21 and U18) but cannot find a suitable player.
What to do?

Go on holiday for a day. I've done this in previous editions of FM and it worked. Good luck!

Ruined my season after the fa cup 4th round away at spurs as I didn't shout at them enough for loosing 8-1, took weeks to regain form and we didn't score enough in the last few to overturn Sunderland's impressive form

Jari Litmanen wouldn't sign a new contract
I can't seem to keep 1 save going for very long...got miffed, deleted them all and now have a Crewe save, Mansfield, Monaco and Swans...my Mansfield save is my current play through...just dominating the BSP so going into League 2 soon...Micheal West from Crewe on loan was tearing the league apart in a RAM (IF) position...then his form dropped and he doesn't score anymore...
On a CRAZY FA-Cup run, beat Nuneaton, Newport, Scunthorpe and Oldham and now I've just beat Watford in the 4th round...not bad...
