Does anyone know the cheapest place to get FM13 download?

I haven't owned a FM before however I've tried the demo a couple of times, quite overwhelming but towards the end started getting the hang of it.

Nice one! But I often find cash injections mean one thing - the board want you to do exceptionally well again, and don't give you much time either!
 
Well my uber QPR save has come to an end. Repeatable CTD :( What a way to go eh? All those beautiful youth players I was nurturing and my 10 season run of Premiership wins. Gutted.

I've tried going on holiday and everything I can think of. It crashes at the same point and comes up with a crash dump which doesn't mean much to me.
 
Awww no!!! What year are you in? Have you tried going back as far into the save as possible, making a separate file/verifying the game content or even making the save uncompressed for a bit?

March 2028. Problem is I overwrite my save as the file is huge. I have it uncompressed however. How do you verify game content? It happens at exactly the same point every time I try it.
 
Ah that could be the cause then, steam will get the right files to redownload and hopefully it'll fix it.

No idea why files become corrupt but I have had to do it a few times over this FM when things go wrong.

Also for creating a new save of the save I mean going to save as and just renaming the file instead of over writing it, I tend to do it once ever season or two in the last few FM's just to keep a track of my progress/not loose much to a corrupt save file.

Yeah, it's a sensible way of being uber careful. There is nothing worse (in relative terms!) than losing a legendary save. I still fondly remember saves going back into the 90's!? Millwall, Wolves, Nottingham Forest... ah :)

I must have been massively kidding myself when I tried to quit cold turkey last week. I managed about a day and a half of professional/grown up productiveness before my excellent start to the 35/36 season started creeping its way back into my thoughts. Turns out I was right though... comfortably top of the league with Crewe in my third season in the EPL with six games to go, my summer transfers have worked a charm and I've got a first leg lead against Bayern in the QF of the CL, having beaten Barcelona.

I had to have a proper chat with my girlfriend last night... It's very difficult trying to explain why I'm not doing anything worthwhile whilst she get's up every morning, goes to work and leaves me fast asleep in bed. My excuse of "Technically I'm still in my non-compete period and I've still got all my savings" didn't go down too well :D
 
Does anyone ever win penalty shoot outs? After losing yet another (despite Liverpool missing their first two penalties), I've gone back through my entire history this save to have a look at my team's track records. Won 3 Lost 12 :confused:

Haha! I am amazed you're back in already! :p

Been breaking the new girlfriend into how much FM gets played and what happens with real life football as well... She doesn't need to see me saturday afternoon or wonder at the importance of Cafc being top of league 2. At least you've gotten the 35/36 season is underway! Can't go this far without seeing it way to far into the future...

How can you have never won penalty shoot outs though?? Do you not sign enough players with composure? I think I have won about 60% of penalty shoot outs including a champions league final one...

I have won quite a few but my main striker always messes them up, so bad in fact that I have removed him from taking them. He's a 17 at them too!
 
I've no idea why it keeps happening. Whenever it gets to penalties, it's basically a foregone conclusion that I've lost. Did the double this year though - Prem and Champions League with Crewe... although I still haven't matched Dario Gradi's Legendary status!

Getting to that stage where my scouting, infrastructure, team and reputation is so strong that 5 star players rarely exist now. A "leading Premier Division star" report by one of my coaches is down to two and a half stars in their rating! It used to only be four to five stars. Just signed this guy for £18m. I figure he's still young, got a four and a half star potential rating and if all his attributes jump up by two or three over his career, he's going to be incredible:



Also, the CL Dream Team has just been announced and of the 11 players included, I've bought and managed 7 of them at various clubs! BOOM! Might need to send that in an email to the GF... :p
