Aww :(

I've got the same feeling, have to play a league cup game followed by some filler games before serious stuff and I can't be bothered.

Instead I am planning where I want to go after Bishops Stortford, it's either mls for a laugh or I'm going to Switzerland and defying the tv by getting a Swiss team to an European final! In good time though

Had a feeling they had fine turned it a bit after getting some monsters in every year for the first 7 seasons before the patch and then not getting as many post patch...

What I'd do is take a striker that hasn't been banging them in and have a motivational private chat to tell them to SORT IT OUT OR ELSE.

Then have a team meeting telling them YOUR RUBBISH WE SHOULD WALK THIS LEAGUE.

Usually seems to fix it.

I will dig out my English regens tomorrow to dispel this "no good england players" lie :p

Have a world class DM, a striker who is charging up the ranks, a central midfielder who is really quality, plus there are a few other players in the England squad that I keep being tempted to buy ;)

He is world class

he was but had a career ruing injury but I play him because he's a beast at assists and technical ability still really (despite what the star rating says)

He's TOO GOOD

He's 20 and so is his flair!! 19 off the ball too mean's he'll get even better

I refuse to buy him because he turned me down in the prem for champ WBA...

He's a beast but on too much money from being at city

He get's a 3.9 every time he comes up against the mighty Bishops Stprtford, I have no idea why as he's amazing.

So yeah some good english players if you look ;)

ARGH I HATE IMAGE SHACK

Malt sell him, there will be plenty of better players in the roles you described with reasonable wages/prices. Plus he has no flair for the AMC role, would be a decent midfielder though who can intercept and recycle possession (though completely hampered by poor tackling)... £30m is borderline robbery...

Took the leap! Went to the USA!

SEATTLE SOUNDERS!

If it become ****, I created an alternate save called NAPOLI CAMPIONE D'EUROPA (because we all know it will happen ;)) so I can go back.

COME ON SOUNDERS!

 lucky! I have one more season of Bishops Stortford on my contract before I can leave and find a new team to make amazing (mostly as doing the England job didn't look fun)

LUCKY?? THESE RULES ARE BLOODY COMPLICATED! I'm just signing people, hopefully I don't get caught out by any rules.

it says maximum 6 (or whatever) internationals. I have registered well over that, and it doesn't block me.

MLS is quirky, internationals refers to players who haven't been in the mls for a while/not through the academy system, so you can get some brazilian guys in on youth contracts that don't count as int and if they go pro with the mls first they then don't count as international (something like that).

It was a lot worse on FM11 as the squad selection page wasn't as informative as the last 2 which now actually tells you who is and isn't eligible before registration day ;)

Anyway the aim of the squad is to actually build a reasonable sized one of mostly alright players on skill level appropriate contracts and trying to get lucky with an amazing designated player or two.

HAHA! Owww :(

I found the were fun last year, though competing for the champions league in America is hard from the mls, mexico has one or two great teams that make the whole event a lot simpler (and how I ended up managing in Belgium after that frustration)

I've had Malts glitch, thankfully it was one game after a save so I quit and replayed it, mostly as it made no sense in the post game thingy.

Most annoying glitch I have found is cb's don't get a straight red for hacking someone down who's clean through on goal

any good challenges people are doing atm? Thinking about trying to win the champions league in a country like Denmark or something,

Malt's one of win all the champions leagues in the world is fun to watch... (I am going to try it at the end of this season provided I win the European one a second time)

That or try and get the all the way up achievement for Scotland without using Rangers ;)

Does anyone play this on a SSD? I currently have it on a normal hard drive but was wondering whether it's worth putting it on my SSD especially as I have quite a few leagues selected

SSD helps with basic loading but to speed up the processing you need raw power from the processor and a good 4gig of ram free for it.

In approximately 5 months I'll be back with FM 14. Kind of fallen out of favour with football at the moment. I'm sure it'll change but loads of FM coupled with a haunting season in League One this year has left me completely desolate. I'm sure I'll stop being dramatic as soon as the season starts!

Aww! Though I couldn't blame you for wanting a football break after the last season.

Did you keep the save at very least??

I had the intention of loading/reloading to get some wins and try and get a crowd in because my biggest problem is attendance is really bad like 2k people.........

I'm starting to wonder if it's actually possible to get from the bottom leagues to the top though because of income being crap

Firstly, that's cheating! :p

Also its pretty easy to go all the way up (eventually, takes a lot of planning), you have to focus on using the budget you have effectively instead of trying to get more (especially at lower than the champ attendances only effect the amount of turn over you can use for next year in the budget, you're not going to get many big windfalls in the league).

I got Bishops Stortford from the Blue Square North to the Premier League in back to back promotions (lots of lucky arrive in the play offs game though) so it is more than possible :)
