***** Official Football Manager 13 Thread *****

God I am doing so bad with Bournemouth at the moment. Struggling to sign anyone of use. I'm trying to get some Premier League/Championship loans. Even though the player report says the player would be interested in joining my club, and my offers get accepted by the player's club, no one decides to join in the end. They would just prefer to sit in the reserves not getting a first team game.

My best players are injured and 4 of the players have abysmal morale because they didn't feel the league position bonus was high enough. How do I even go about improving this? It just constantly sits on Abysmal.

Oh and I've not won any of my first 7 league games. So it isn't looking good!
 
Well abit confused, First season is over i finished 2nd as LFC so i did allot better than expected in the league with such a thin sqaud.

I was offered a new contract which i signed then i got my performance review, Was a mixed bag league as i say perfect but they were very unhappy i did reach it past stage one of FA/Carling/Euro Cup they wanted me to atleast reach the Quater final for the Euro Cup.

Now im not sure on my new transfer budget i need to offload Carroll/Downing/Cole fully and not loans downside is half time thye want paying until 2016 not all there wage but sometimes about 20k of it? Should i just accept the fact ill have to do that to get rid?
 
This game is truly awful and the SI forums and moderators are unbelievable. The TC is absolute ****, training is ****, and as for the ME its been done time a time again.

The funniest thing of all is when PaulC and wwfan (the dick who ruined tactics) flat out deny a bug or problem only for this week to have mysteriously fixes in the upcoming patch for said bug that they claimed did not exist. They are outright liars and also completely unprofessional how they run the forums.

I really hope a rival comes out for FM sometime. These jokers are just cashing in while no rival game exists and taking the **** out of everyone along the way.

Im getting annoyed by the ME being broken and the contracts being bugged also. Other than that im enjoying it i got wolves top of champs in first season and im currently 5th with 4 games to go, 3 of them being away and two of them three against manu and arsenal so i predict a 7th finish which is kinda amazing. Ended up ditching my tactics and going to the updated GoalsGalore which has worked wonders but when i lose i lose badly.

- Weaker players more likely to favour direct passes quicker
- Improved short pass accuracy slightly
- Tried to increase number of crosses slightly
- Fine tuned shot accuracy
- Fixed some minor player on ball decision bugs
- Improved trajectory of medium length kicks like free kick shots and corners
- Made players better at offering out ball to team mate
- Tried to improve player reactions to deflected balls or tackles
- Made players more willing to slide tackle when opportunity and need arises
- Fixed some unnatural save directions from keepers
- Fixed keepers trying to save ball at wrong point when its heading for post or bar
- Made players slightly better at turning body while on the run
- Made strongest player stand ground when 2 players collide while going for a header
- Made goal celebration paths a little bit more varied
- Fixed comms saying ball well wide when not really that far wide
- Some ball physics collision tweaks
- Some team talk fixes

Match v1314
-----------

- Further tuned team shape and d-line position when defending
- AM strata now comes back to defend unless set to "all out attack"
- Made d-line shift up when opposing player with ball is successfully pressed
- Made d-line shift back quicker when attacking player is running with pace at them with the ball
- Some tweaks to marking of opponents in own area
- Fixed defenders shifting across as full back engages winger in last third causing bad shape
- Tried to reduce instances of players heading ball they could control a split second later
- Some minor fixes relating to player interception of ball
- Some refinements to off ball movement around ball player
- Some general tweaks to pass choice and on ball decision making
- Some more minor keeper save fixes
- Fixed some instances of woodwork hit not being registered
- Fixed player not waiting to getup before running off to celebrate after scoring a diving header


Match v1315
-----------

- Fixed ultra rare crash when player shoots from close range
- Further small refinements to on ball decisions and pass choice
- Improved direct free kick trajectory slightly
- Improved crossing aim AI
- Fine tuned pass and shot accuracy slightly
- Improved player reaction and awareness of ball generally
- Improved defensive tracking of player running with ball
- Slight reduction of player reaction time to fast curling balls
- Slight reduction of player reaction time when ball a long way away from them especially if not facing it
- Improved defender lateral positioning when defending wide ball
- Fixed winger not staying wide when asked to hug touchline and ball on his side in advanced position
- Goalkeeper should narrow the angle better when a play is running at him at speed
- Goalkeepers should try to move under the ball path even if they think they can't reach it.
- Fixed a bug where the keeper fails to catch a ball if it has just hit the crossbar/post
- Fixed keeper turning ball over bar described as turning it round post
- Fixed some player collision avoidance issues
- Fixed a bug where an offside is given instead of a free kick
for a foul
- Stop a rare teleport bug with goal celebrations
- Fixed animation issues whilst player argues with ref
- Fixed small anomaly in team selection AI

There is the original Championship Manager. Not a rival to FM really but all the same it is an alternative game.

Ah cool. Hopefully it won't be a synchronised time of the month for 11 players when you tell them they need to perform better in the second half! :rolleyes:

my team seem to respond well to my constant barrage of abuse!
 
I'm having a dilemma where the game has disappeared from my steam library and my licenses/subscriptions.

I'm not alone with this though, just hoping it gets fixed quickly.

Withdrawal symptoms :(

What previous experience did you set yourself to? I've had to promise 3 players that I'd try to improve the way I conduct my team talks. :rolleyes:
