I am really loving this new patch which has sorted some of the problems with the game engine, i started with Man Utd when i first bought the game on the 6th and i was struggling with decent tactics but after 15 games i found a good tactic which started to put me in the hunt for the title, in the end i won the PL and ECC in first season and in 2nd season i won Community Shield and PL, i am into 3rd season at the moment and i am leading the PL by 8 points over Tottenham with a game in hand.
After updating to the patch my team is playing really well atm P16/W14/D02/L01, only lost the one game because i already qualified for the knockout stages in ECC so i played a B team, i have just played City in my last match resulting in me hammering them 8-0 at home
New patch results looking good for me, all the results before the Tottenham game (18.10.2014) are done before patch
My Current squad and league position

FM is confusing at times.
I found this sick free agent. He is from Cameroon. He is pretty good as a CB, yet my scout tells me that 2 of my players are better than him, when they clearly are not.
According to FM, the best one is MacIntosh
I'll sell MacIntosh for around 30k and get this free agent. He takes €100/week more, but that can be covered by the transfer fee.

Id agree with FM on this one lol though Macintosh doesnt have any outstanding stats he has well balanced ones but the cameroonian is slow with very poor decision making, could end up costing you goals if he decides to leave position to beat a player to a ball but cant as he is to slow. He might get himself sent off quite abit by diving into needless tackles or pass back to the goalie when he is marked. Id call him a liability.#
Just noticed his high aggression, take that with the poor decisions and you will have a few red cards from him.

In the Championship with Crewe on my second season. Doing stupidly well as I am sat in the play-offs. I bagged some big names at the tail end of last season/beginning of this season and both Christmas windows. Scott Wootton for less than 300K, Ryan Tunnicliffe for less that 100K? A top (WAS) keeper for free (Hilario) Kieron Dyer, Louis Saha and Daniel de Ridder (only person on loan) also Elliot Ward.
Will post some shots on my stupid team.
EDIT: Best one was a guy I've never heard of, Samuel Di Carmine, plays for some Serie B team, he was reccomended by my scout, I signed him for 2M or so (most expensive player) and now hes scoring goals left right and centre.

Last seasons tranfers. David Wright played 1 game and picked up an injury that ended his season, so I released him early.
This seasons transfers.
This guy was created start of season 2, slightly better than my main right back Scott Wiseman, sent him on loan to Rangers to get him better.

New patch has completely destroyed defending for me, I've conceded first in 6 straight games, I have the match preparation set on defensive positioning and it doesn't make a blind bit of difference 
Question: Am I the only one conceding 3,4 and 5 goals a game? Doesn't seem to be affected by formation or, indeed, players. I've tried going all defensive with five at the back and a defensive mentality with no improvement. Just lost a game 5-3, too. Think the last five games have seen three with at least 3 concede.

Looks like Shamikebab is having the same problem. I'm guessing you've got the latest patch, as in you don't block Steam from updating FM? Who are you playing as?
Yeah, all updated. Playing as Sheff. Wed. Oddly, the defenders are getting 7+ per game, but conceding loads of goals!

Haha, typical FM that.
Haven't played FM since the patch came out. I'll fire Steam up later on after lunch and the F1 qually from Brazil and see what I can manage. Or not!

I just started a new game as rangers, ill completely out play teams and still lose 1-0 against the third division team... Patch has indeed done something to the game.
It's broken completely. Before the patch I conceded 8 goals in 16 games

That's a possibility, but only if they know/admit it's broken.
