And, when a player has agreed terms (Darren Fletcher) to move at the end of his contract on a free, the player then wants me to pay him x amount til his contract ends? Not sure what that is all about!
Only way I could get Ashley Young to sign for Newcastle was to pay him £70k a week until July 2016! :(

Anyone know if SI have a patching schedule, have they said what their plans are?
We're on 14.1.3. Unless there's a massive problem I doubt we'll see many patches until mid-February when the January transfer update pack comes out.

I ended up paying £4.5m to mutually terminate Young's contract. Had been trying for 1.5 seasons to shift him, but no takers. So decided that I would end up paying him almost £8m in wages to the end of his contract, so was just cheaper to pay him off.

Wow! So who've you got to replace him?

I must say this Homegrown malarkey is starting to get annoying. As I see it I can still sign foreign players as long as I buy them young so they qualify as Homegrown in England. :D

Decided against Vargas AND Salifu. Reason being that I was not entierly convinved on either, and I feel thay don't have a large possibility of being offered a new contract, making them free agents. Then, if I need/don't find anyone better, I can get them, maybe even cheaper than now.

Hi Fella, well i have two options i do for finding youth! theres the old slog of going to every team you can think of and purchasing anyone half decent. The other is scouting. I would employ a head scout and then get him to set scouring assignments and hopefully they come in. I however tend to do my own searching from the same clubs all the time. Plus i now have a network set up in south america from a team there.

Yes, I do much of that already I just haven't had a lot of success. I tend to use search, unselect everything so I get the full choice, choose under 17 year olds and bang.. Wait for the list. At the moment I've got 9500 to choose from. But most of these will be 1* naffness. Only the small minority are 4*+ but I'm struggling to find the really good ones. In 13 I had a reasonable choice, but with a smaller database. This is my issue. It seems to me like SI have obliterated the excellent youth potential. But maybe I'm wrong.

That's exactly what I do. Buy the youth players, train them in club for 3 years and use them in the first team. By the time they are ready they are classified HG and also top quality. At least, they would be if I could find enough of them.

Playing Stoke, so I put my match Preparation to defend set-pieces....they have scored 3 goals from corners:rolleyes:

Also, Huth sent off against me for the second time this season!

I think I might sack my current Man Utd game off and have a go with Spurs instead. I've got a few ideas of players that I need already (for Spurs).

I was thinking Lukaku. Creativity wise, I think they might be OK. Might also get a wonderkid central defender.

Seriously, Kurt Zouma is class. I bought him after getting promoted and after 20 games now he has 3 young player of the month awards, an average of 7.7, and 5 goals!...he is only 20 now as well, I think he is probably 18 at the start of the game. I paid about £5m for him at the start of the second season I think.

DEFINITELY going in for him at the end of the season. Tried end of 1st season, but they wanted too much for him. Ended up getting Balanta for around 10.5 (incl. agent fees). This guy tops my list for next season, even though I'm sorted at CB.

I'd just bought Samuel Umtiti in my Man Utd save but have had Zouma at United in FM13. He is very decent. I think I played him a lot in partnership with Varane.

I notice Zouma has just got a 10 match ban IRL for breaking someone's leg in a match. The tackle was aggressive but not worthy of the ban. There's a video out there somewhere. It's not graphic.

Ive got some cracking youth players ive picked up after 4 seasons issue is they are regens so will have to find new ones next time :(

I've just started a Spurs save and am having issues already.

Sandro is already playing up about a new contract. I've made bids for Zouma and Hernandez. Zouma has just got a hernia (out for 6 weeks) and Hernandez has a virus (out for 11 days).

Also, Real Madrid have just signed Antonio Valencia for £14m. :D

In my wingbacks formation, which I reserve for the big teams, and some away games, my wingbacks can't stop scoring!...Bridge has 2 and Trippier has 3! I think I have only played it 4-5 times this season!

Gonna keep it as a secret weapon;)...I usually use it when reporters ask me tactical questions.

btw, who in their right mind would use the 'reluctant' option for team talks!?

Not really replaced him directly with anyone. Bought a few players in that can play in wide positions, but don't play with out-and-out wingers but with wide midfielders so people like Kagawa, Januzaj & De Bruyne are more my type of wide players.

Have also let Rooney go to Juventus as his performances were shocking and have a feeling I will be letting RVP go at the end of this season, again his performances have really declined over the last half a season.
