Start unemployed, get a job at Berwick Rangers, 4-5-1 with Darren Lavery spearhead, win Scottish League 2. Onwards and upwards.

Anyone else start unemployed?

Indeed. Was hired by a struggling Skrill North side, who were in 16th place by the time i was taken on. I have no experience by the way so I am starting at the very bottom. Somehow I managed to get them promoted within 5 months. Now I'm at the top of the Skrill Premiere.

The best thing is, my club were taken over, and I survived. Now I have a reasonably wealthy Russian owner who keeps injecting cash :D I've already spent £4 million over 12 months :D It's pretty insane actually. I've got million pound players in a league where the best player is usually worth in the region on £100k. I've never seen that before. Obviously the biggest issue is scouting. I am limited by the UK and Ireland, and the best players are way out of my range. The only players who will join my club are from abroad, so I have to take massive risks - I have bought 4 players without scouting any of them! Turned out my guesses were good. They are all 5 star with huge potentials. Very pleased! Onwards and upwards..

My team just don't compare to some of the players in League 1, it's depressing.
I won my first game 2-0, but looking at Yeovil's team, I don't know how.

It's not always the most expensive players that make the best teams. Cohesion and tactics seem to be as important in this. Everytime you introduce a new player to the first team, take a look at your tactics. You will lose a percentage of fluidity per player, which you will need to regain.

Tbh, my team's doing fairly well.
I've added 3 new players and got rid of a bunch, think I'll keep it like this really, not doing bad at all.

Stay in League 1 for a bit, for the profit.

I did for the first time, and got the Fleetwood (League 2) job within a couple of weeks. Won League 2 in the first season, and now in the first season in League 1 I am top after 6 games. Haven't played for a week or so, just frustrated at the near post goals. Haven't spent any money on new players, just free transfers, but we make a loss every month which isn't good.

What experience level did you start with? I set mine to sunday-league, which meant I started right at the bottom.

I've started unemployed the last few years but this year i started one with man utd and the other with psg. Once I've got bored and figured out what tactics i can get to work I'll start unemployed again. I've gone from unemployed to win the prem with Braintree town and managed to get Arsenal, Spurs, AC Milan jobs which was great fun.

Coming up against a bit of a weird problem. Have just won promotion into League 2. My scouts are finding suitable players, but when I offer a contract they refuse me outright. Surely a scout is supposed to find players that are attracted to the team in question? Or is this a regular thing.

my guess is the player's reputation is ever so too high for the club. I had trouble signing Andy Kirk for ages as my backup striker for the division up but only got him in the pre season when I went up! Now battling Falkirk for 2nd and Dunfermline seen to be owning it just now. Early days tho. Took me two seasons to up and in the first I lost by a point (whilst having far superior goal difference) cos of a bad run in end of season form (lost 12 point gap) so I think morale has a massive impact.

Started as Sunday League footballer too. (Done this in FM 12 and became the greatest ever with Chelsea.)

into my 3rd season with real madrid(I know, no challenge) Bought in Erik Lamela(4.5* pot), Marc Andre Ter Stegen(5* potential)Paul Pogba(4.5*), Marquinhos(5 star potential) Mateo Kovacic(4 star) couple of other players but no one really amazing. Bought 5 or 6 15-18 year olds with 5* potential from germany and south america so will be int3eresting to see how they come through.

8 games into this season and I'm already 8 points above barca :p 7 wins 1 draw (away at Nou Camp) and am on a 46 game unbeaten streak :o

I'm tempted to start a career with United and see if i can do better than moyes. Also, first thing i'd do is get rid of Welbeck.

The guy is a joke

I always keep Welbeck around, handy back up for Robin Van Persie and Rooney. I 'normally' only play with one forward too so having three suits me well.

I usually offload Hernandez as I find him too limited for the role my forward player plays, although he's very difficult to offload this time round , similarly with Young, very difficult to get off the books, usually have to accept paying some of his wages for a couple of seasons. Anderson is not too difficult to remove though.

I've taken a very different approach to signing players for this Manchester United save, moved in a lot of young players.

Ter Stegen is amazing, should get you points on his own!

Need tactical help!

Ok so I started a game as Wolfsburg as I wanted a bit of a challenge. In my first season I just about managed to clinch 4th place which meant I got Champions League, therefore a lot of money. Start of second season and I had a clear out of staff and got some new coaches and scouts in, and also got given £35m to spend.

These are the players I've signed so far:

I also sold Bas Dost and Olic went as his contract expired so my current strikers are de Jong, Jovetic and Jelle Vossen.

This is also my current tactic:

I usually change the mentality dependant on home/away and the opposition.
However, last season included as well, it's rare for my strikers to score goals, and no matter who I play there they will usually get a rating below 6.5 and I just don't get it. Are my tactics right? What would you change? I can upload a picture of my whole squad if it'll help. Thanks! :)
