******* Official Football Manager 2015 Thread *******

I have never been relegated on FM. Once I was like 5/6 points from 17th after January that I just resigned. I think it was Padova in my pentagon challenge (serie A). My team was decent tbh, no idea how I was doing so crap.

I've been relegated twice and only in FM15. It's more challenging than its predecessors but I can't work out why. Having said that it's also a much better game.

So glad I did what I did, Southampton have an amazing youth setup and some real hot prospects. 31 games and I sit in 14th, realistically 11th is the highest I can finish looking at how far 10th is away. Still, a lot to build on. Still have Tadic, Forster and Ward-Prowse.

I've found it easier.
I have been relegated once, but from then I went strength to strength (And Relegation was the best thing for the club, so it was actual a good thing)

I underestimated the team, went on a scintillating run to the end of the season winning 8 out of 9 and finishing 9th. Who knows what could have happened if I got here earlier :D

Looking forward to pre-season and next year. Definitely aiming for top 5.

Liverpool got relegated, lol.

Also, despite winning the PL Man U failed to get into the CL because of financial reasons?!

They failed Financial Fair play probably. Not sure how you can fail that lol.

Well, just finished the second season with Southampton and exceeded my own and everyone elses expectations by winning the blooming league!

I always had a formation downloaded from fm-base that was 343 and I tinkered with it and after finishing 9th I knew it worked well. Apart from shipping a lot of goals I score loads too which counters it, it doesn't really work every well away to big teams (Man U, Chelsea and City) and I'm not sure how to counter this yet. I'm a bit worried how I'll cope away in the CL! I might need better CB's.

Anyway I'll leave these piccies here, only really Chelsea were in it for the majority but they lost a crucial game at the end of the season and I nipped in, it was toe to toe pretty much all the way through.

I spent a lot, in fact I think I brought in to many players but they're all young so hopefully will reach a good potential. The lads up front are all young, the lad Golazewski was an inspiration and cost naff all! I sold a few as you can see from the shot, they wanted to leave to win trophies...ha.

Isco is 31 and I got him on a free, not sure if it was a compulsive buy as he's primarily a CAM and I don't play that position. He can fit in CM, LM and up front though I guess.

Liverpool got relegated from the Championship too in this year.

That's a good run Andy. Hopefully you won't get stung next season with failing the FFP!

Regards the work permits, you can still buy the players they just wont join your club until they're 18, then you will need to send them abroad to play for a season or two. Alternatively find yourself a work permit feeder club and cut a season out. If the players are really good potential it's worth grabbing them at 16 just in case. They're usually peanuts. I found a Bolivian striker who has world class potential and got him at 17 years old. He was only £120k, and should be really good, with high determination and work rate. But as I haven't got a WP feeder I wont be able to use him for a few seasons.

Does everyone here make their own tactics? The last few FM games I just downloaded some because I was really bad at doing it but just bought this one and decided I'm gonna make my own since I imagine its a lot more interesting.

I've always done my own tactics, I basically score goals, a lot of goals.
Think last season I scored over 150.

2 games in new season and a bunch of my team is crocked (although I have basically a premiership winning rotation options for most positions though).
Scored 12 goals in 2 games (8 against villa, and 4 against Chelsea) conceded 3.

It's because I'm subscribed to Barca so it's my scouts reporting that he's been listed. Deadline day they literally made an offer, had it accepted, signed him, then listed him in the space of about 3 hours and I have no idea why :D

Anyone have any ideas for europa league level fringe teams with decent youth setup? Want to take a break from current save and try something else but I can never bloody decide on a team.

Looking at a Refurbished 15.4" MacBook Pro Retina but it's only got 8GB (2GHz Quad Core i7 - Boosts to 3.2GHz), is 8GB enough for this game on a MacBook with about 7 nations selected and a large database? Don't want the game to run pig slow? :)

(Only ever played this game on 16GB PCs)

Probably the buggiest version I've played. It randomly crashes on both my laptop and pc and I end up losing progress its generally only a couple weeks in game progress but when you've narrowly beat your rivals with your reserves due to injuries it drives you insane.
