Second season as newcastle somehow won league, FA cup and champions league, must be the Eriksen tactic as my team certainly isn't the best. Beat Bayern 2-1 in champions league final coming back from 1-0 down.

Same as last season though success = pillaged team. Some of the offers have matched buyouts even. Lost Ferreya for 40mil, Perez 60mil, Tiote 20mil, Hughes 65mil, Ocampos 20mil and Colback 12mil. Transfer budget now in excess of 200mil to rebuild :p

Got Shaw and Sterling in, hoping Mitrovic will step up and be my main striker from reserve striker last season.

Starting line up is;

Krul, Chambers, Balanta, Umitti, Shaw, Romero, Tielemens, Sissoko, Mours, Sterling, Mitrovic.

I'm going to struggle to win this year without Ayoze and Ferreya who scared over 50 goals between them :p
 
So, 3 seasons in for me in my Man U project. Won the league 3 times on the bounce now and 3rd season won champs L, had to beat Real Madrid in the group stage, Bayern in knockout round 1, Barcelona in the quarters and Real again (Nice revenge they knocked me out quarters in Season 2 despite me being all over them) in the Semi and beat Chelsea on in sudden death penalties in the final!

Spent megabucks tho

yeah you read it right, almost £80mil for Pogba and £150mil for Neymar.

But I got some good regens in there too. I'll let ya'll see them after they have developed.

To make the defence solid (season 1) I bought Balanta to partner Jones or Rojo.

On another note..

managing players is much more of a challenge, players take the huff easier from conversations and in my current season (3) Pogba and Balanta have taken the huff cos I've got a small (IMO focused (as always)) squad.

Tielemens = beast. if Pogba goes in my save i'm not really that bothered.
 
Can anyone recommend any 4.5/5* coaches for Man Utd in defending and tactics? Got 4.5* in all other areas. Defending and tactics are only 4*. Four coaching areas have average workloads despite two of those areas having three coaches! :eek:
 
Finally!! I've finally won it park the bus style against Chelsea :D been runners up for like 3-4 years in a row after some terrible bad luck. USA decided to call up my star player £50m AMC the day before so he couldn't play and team had 3 u21 players in due to injuries so went defensive and got them on the counter 5mins added time with 10 men :o

I started a Stockport save in the new update, every league and team that the game allows.

Predicted 17th... Finished 2nd! Just missed off at play offs, lost 1-0 in the final.

Rebuilt the team. My team consists heavily of loan players (I've managed to get an absolute cracker that's scoring a goal per game on average)

About 30 games in and I'm on target to break the points record in the league!

I've managed to get some absolute cracking frees, that are rated for league 2 and league 1, which given I'm in Conference North means I'm trouncing the league.

I managed to get a 19 year old Slovakian striker/AMC who's rated for league 1 on a perm deal for 5 years.

At this rate I could do back to back promotions into league 2.

Can't find him in my game as I didn't add Holland. I used a website calculator to work out how many stars coaches would offer but I didn't realise that it was for FM14 and not FM15 so some of the coaches aren't offering the stars I thought they would.

Might start a new game, with Holland, and try again!

lol I love the underdogs. I think I remember taking Welling into the CL and doing well with them.. Them were the days :) It's far more rewarding when you build a lower league team up to the top tier.

Glad it isn't just me then. Started a new game to include Holland to get Jaap Stam as a defensive coach. Couldn't understand why I couldn't even see Meulensteen. According to Wikipedia he's a consultant to Philadelphia. I guess FM doesn't have the staff category for this and so he's listed as a director which puts him out of reach of clubs wanting to sign him for coaching.

I can't click on his name. You know how you get the hyperlink under someone's name when you hover the mouse over their name? Not happening with Meulensteen. I'd think this was a bug but for the fact that you can't interact with directors of other clubs. I reckon that as FM has no staff job of consultant that SI have defined Meulensteen as a director and the only way for a club to sign him as a coach would be for him to leave Philadelphia as a director. I don't know if the game can code for directors leaving, can it?
