In one of my saves I found a 16 year old regen from Croatia whom was quite cheap. I trained him hard in the reserves for a couple of seasons before playing him at 18. It turned out (when I looked at his stats in the editor) he was a 200 rated player; he basically had the best potential you can get in the game, and sure enough, after some game time he was stunning. He was the best player I've ever come across in any FM game. To give you some idea how good he could become you basically get one or two of these players in the database over a number of seasons. I've never seen a 200 rated player before this.

you know what i could say in this post, but i'm not going to.
 
I just recently picked this up after a few years off from FM games, I like it but damn its tough. Wanted a bit of a challenge so started with off with Hartlepool but couldn't get those suckers motivated, got the sack just before Xmas. Got a job with Chester in the Vanarama Conf who were dead last but by the end of the season I got them 4 points clear of the relegation zone. Season after that I got some good players in and won the conference but now league 2 I'm getting smashed again.

The players!! It's like herding cats onto a bus!! They complain non stop ooo your training me too hard ooo Your tactics are not working!! I want to leave to a bigger club. I'm sure the ratings system is broken. My striker had 3-4 8.5+ rating games in a row so I brought him in to for praise and he gave a response of "I think our opinions differ" and now he doesn't score goals.

On another note, Mr.Fantastic, I just seen a pic on reddit, not tried it yet, but the guy gets ronaldo at the start of the game for man u by offering £40mil (including the addons aside from one...100% of the next sale) and has the offer accepted, saving you about £100 mil i think..
 
Third season as Gateshead third straight promotion as champions, in the Championship now :D

This is the first season I have had a transfer budget (400K) so blew that on one player and it has been free transfers all the way again in a huge restructure. Had to ditch a load of the players who have been with me since the confrence this season as the step up is insane compared to moving up the other leagues.

My total weekly wage budget is 64k, the demoted premier league teams all have at least 1 player who is paid more than that weekly :p The total value of my squad (even including loan players) is less than 2.5mil (this is a 23 man squad) of the remaining 23 teams in the league 22 have at least one player who is valued at more than my whole squad! :p:D

Not sure how I will stay up, played 3 and w1, d1, l1 but every season since my first promotion I have been tipped for relegation and come up trumps so I'll somehow need to do so again. HAWAY THE 'HEED!
 
Playing as Peterborough (my hometown) and struggling in the champs. For some god damn reason the board require a win to secure my job so I am really up against it. This is my first season in the Champs after promotion! I have a team of good players there's no doubt about it, but they are not amazing as far as I'm concerned. A lot of them are Peterborough original players too.
 
How can/does your rep increase and your club expectations with it?

Really struggling in the championship and my board will not budge on a frankly **** transfer and wage budget. I'm operating on a low lg2 budget as opposed to a championship team and its killing me.

Hopefully, hopefully I'll survive but not looking likely at the moment! :(

I had this problem in previous games, what I used to do is try stay afloat in the league for a season or two without spending much if any money then one season you get a few million to spend from saving up, buy a couple game winning players. Another thing is to sign free players you believe you could sell for decent profit after a year.
 
Finally finished my first Chelsea save and all in all not to bad. Won the league but ended up getting knocked out of the CL on away goals to Shaktar which really annoyed me but looking forward to the summer and bringing in some fresh faces now. Really pleased defensively with the team, next season my aim is to concede less than 10 goals!

Hi guys,

I've played FM since it was still CM in 93 but I didn't really enjoy FM13 or 14. Is 15 much different and worth getting or should i avoid if i didn't like 14?

Haven't playeduch recntly but picked up my Gateshead save again, after a pretty poor start of 1w/1d/3l I've picked up and won 4 drew 1 of the last 5 and I'm 6th. That won't last but at least I know I can pick up points when I was really worried before.

Into the last 16 of the of the carling cup too, got Norwich away.
 
Well with 9 games left I'm 3rd :D

I'm 2pts off 2nd but equally only 5pts above 9th it's so close. I just keep winning somehow, the Eriksen tactic must be the trick! Still not signed anyone (bar a few free youngsters) just getting results all the time generally by one goal every time.

Burke, a youngster I got on a free from Villa, has been brilliant all season. Highest average rating in league, 20 goals and 19 assists absolute amazing :D

Come on!!! No way I can make the premier league in 4 seasons :D
 
2 games left, I'm 2nd now by 1point. Got 2 games left away to 6th (West Ham) and 20th (Birmingham) I could actually do this :D:D:D
 
3rd Season in the BPL with Crewe, Currently sitting top, and playing well, Final of the Capital One Cup to look forward to, and still in the Champions League and FA Cup :)

This is an online game I'm playing with a mate, He's currently top of the Championship with Rochdale

Nooooooooo West Ham completely screwed me last 2 games.

They beat me second last game so, I won the last game but then West Ham lost to Burnley so they pipped me to auto promotion spot. To top it off I got West Ham in the playoffs and they beat me :( Complete pack of ******** :p

Probably a good thing in the long run though, it will allow me to build a better squad and I really need some upgrades across the pitch.

Next season will be my year!!!! :D
 
Playing as Man Utd (surprise surprise!). It's January 3rd 2015 and I've just signed Hulk after my scouts said to sign him at all costs.

I'm going through a bit of an injury scare with Rooney, Falcao and RVP all having been injured at the same time. Falcao went first then RVP. Both are due back in a few days time. I've had to play Rooney for the first 60 minutes of games and then sub him for Wilson, which does at least give Wilson some game time. I only play one striker in my current formation.

My other injury problem is Ander Herrera is out for another 6-11 days and without him I pretty much have no creative/attacking midfielders so I've been playing the recently returned Carrick alongside Fellaini and then bringing on Blind for Carrick. I plan to sell Jonny Evans, Anders Lindegaard, Tyler Blackett and Nick Powell this transfer window to generate some cash, free up wages and start the clearout of the squad. I have too many defenders having bought Eder Alvarez Balanta and Marquinhos to play alongside Evans, Jones, Smalling, McNair and Rojo. McNair looks to be a good backup player whilst also being fairly versatile so I shall keep him. Rojo too for being a DLC. I thought Marquinhos was a DR. I now know he's a DRC so I'm looking for competition for Rafael at DR, perhaps Gino Peruzzi as a backup or I might look for a big name like Clyne.

Anyway to improve the creativity and 'vision' in my midfield I've found Yoann Gourcuff at Olympique Lyonnais. He's out of contract at the end of the season and whilst he's not the must buy as Hulk was my scouts say he'd be a quality player. My scouting reports say he'd cost me £2.1 to £3.5m yet I seem to be able to sign him on a free! Having signed Balanta, Marquinhos and Hulk and with the board having restricted the amount of the transfer money made available to me I have £1.1m to spend. I have the ability of increase the budget from £1.1m to £1.3m to allow Gourcuff's transfer. However I would have to decrease the wage budget from £3.69m p/w to £3.69m p/w. Do I? :D At 28 Gourcuff would be a well developed senior player that I can drop straight into the team. Is he worth it?
