People on codemasters forum are crazy lol. Asking for apologies and their money back?? It's a sub £20 game ( on PC at least). That's the price of a new blu-ray, a meal out or a few drinks. I've already had hours of fun with it!

Anyone would have thought it cost £500 or something!

As long as they fix the pit lane bug, show sector 3 on the timings board and maybe make the timings a bit more accurate, then i will be a happy bunny.

I agree soooo much with this. People eh?

Currently using my game pad (PS2 controller connected to PC), and it's already better than the keyboard. However, I still suck at changing gears, so it's still on automatic. I really want a wheel, as it would be good for Grid, Dirt and Dirt 2 :) Starting to wish I hadn't returned my G25 :(

What controls where you guys using? You may have noticed I was using keyboard :)

I'm using a Logitech Driving Force GT. Works extremely well with the game right from the get-go. Set about 200 deg rotation and it's not too sensitive and still easy enough to catch slides. Great fun!

i came in in 6th and exited 18th. Watching 12 cars pass you as you are held for over 30seconds is rather ANNOYING

Its compounded by the race lenght at 20% - instead of cars coming in between say lap 14 and 24 depending on strategy - everyone pits on lap 6 or 7 meaning your guy cant release you as cars are going out. I just pit on lap 5 or 8 depending on track,

Ok, have finally got my F1 2010 working as it should be with good frame rates. I haven't got fraps so can't tell you what the rates are, but they are very playable and that's all that matters to me.

Have it running at 6048 *1200 with Gfx levels set as 'High'.

Fixed the loading times by changing the config file to DX9=False
Fixed the stuttering by putting in a dummy directory for the replay file
Fixed my windowed mode running much faster than full screen mode by making the changes to the Catalyst settings mention a little earlier in the thread.

So I'm now happy I can play the game. Though still get annoyed by the invalidating of laps, for a little bit wide, and also invalidating the next lap on the 3rd or 4th corner of the previous lap.

Here's a picture of it on my set up.

3* 24 inch screens, 6048 total resolution.
Logitech G25 steering wheel on a Fanatec stand.

Sort out the FOV. It'll feel great if you get the fov down (about 30ish?) so that those front tyres are just split on the monitor bezels (infact ideally they would be almost on the edge of the outer monitors! But then you lack the vertical height!

Aye it was good fun, sorry Andy for not inviting you back into the game but for whatever reason GFWL would not allow me to re invite you :(

Apologies for having to rush off, the wife was nagging.

I use Keyboard and it is playable but you don't get the smoothness in the steering that you would get with a wheel.

TC.

no worries m8.1st time i have had trouble using windows live.As for the misses u just have to train em better and reward them later:D well thats what i do anyway hehe

Anyone know where the file is for the custom controls? I need to edit the deadzone, but Windows XInput.xml is only for the default Xbox controller.

Cheers, where do you find the fov setting for this game, I'd had a look and couldn't find it anywhere.

Cheers

Is there any rumlbe when using the 360 pad? Game is good but find that the damage is very poor compared to other codemaster games ie grid. The pit stops are boring, liked the mini game feature in the f12005 game. can't wait for g27 to turn up as i have zero feel as to when the back is going. Good game but feel that they spent too much time on the menu screen rather than on other parts of the game.

Nope, I just edited the default controls to match my custom ones and used them
what have ou set them too, out of interest ?
any chance you could post them on here ? pls

@Taff you your not playing in dx9 then? your effectivly forcing it to play in native card dx11 am i right in saying that ?
i can to this on my setup, but only with xfire disabled, enabled and i get lag
