Can anyone confirm they are able to use crossfire on F1 2010? When I have it enabled on my 5770 x-fired, the textures flash on the car. Disable it, and all is fine.. On 10.10 Cats. Q6600, 4gig ram, Win7 Ult 64bit, 5770 x2

Catalyst A.I enabled on standard or advanced = flashing textures

Catalyst A.I disabled or Xfire disabled = game works fine.

right chaps im in need of alittle help. ive had the game since it came out and i bought it off steam via a download, anyway ive been getting alittle bored just rolling round by myself so i thought id play it online for the first time. so i logged in to my live account and then it asks for the cd-key so i put the one in that came with it and it says its an invalid key, even if i try to validate it in steam it says the same thing. any ideas on what i do?

Seems fine here on my 5770s, try the Catalyst 10.10e hotfix drivers.

Oh, and make sure you have the Latest Catalyst Application Profiles installed, (these are a seperate download)

http://support.amd.com/la/kbarticles/Pages/GPU87AMDCat1010eHotfix.aspx < 10.10e Hotfix.

http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/crossfirex-app-profiles.aspx < Application Profiles

Thanks, trying out the hotfix now.

Quick question on the Catalyst Application Profiles... Is it just a download and install?

Reason I ask is because they say

New profiles added to this release:
- F1 2010 (DirectX 11 version) – starting application through Command line support now includes CrossFire acceleration support

Not sure what they mean about command line support. Do you need to add something to the end of the executable to make good use of these new profiles?

I did download these and installed, but have done nothing other.. Also on 10.10, but not applied the 10.10e hotfix. YET.. currently downloading....

But in terms of the profiles, is it just downloand and run? or is there more to it.

Thx

Yes you download and install the them. Its quite easy.

Oh and if you using the new drivers, in CCC turn off MLAA, as it wrecks triple buffer (actually what video card are you running) 5xxx and 6xxx ATI card have MLAA which is meant to smooth the graphics without using in game AA. But using MLAA and v sync turns off triple buffering. So I ended up with a capped 30 fps when I used it.

If tuning on v sync you really need D3D overrider. Use this with triple buffer as f1 2010 isn't that well optimsed for GPU.

Call me stupid, but how do you turn off the penalties? Someone mentioned difficulty, but for the life of me i can't find any difficulty settings anywhere.

Before you enter the next GP in career mode, or starting a GP from the menu, select difficulty and in there is a selection of penalty settings.

any good MP servers out there? just had my first trip into the online section of the game and what a nightmare its full of morons who think its more fun to crash into you all the time. i know im not very good at it but i atleast know not to spoil it by ramming

Right anybody had the problem?

Im 1st in the championship in red bull and the team have added a new Aero package to the car 20% more efficient or what ever and now the car is SUPER understeering.

I have tried evreything to counter it in the car set up but the fact is before the upgrade the car was much better drive. Its almost impossible to drive like this

trying lowering the rear downforce.

Help a newb out please, I'm finally starting to get into the game, but having an awful time trying to make a good start. Obviously simply keeping the foot on the accelerator is no good, but I've not managed to do anything better with easing it on either. I'm sure there's a secret way to do it, but I'm stumped as to what it is!
All driver assists off, auto gearbox.

For the start i just stick traction control on lmao. Also you should be able to gain a few places just by breaking late and hoping you don't hit anyone, if you do hit anyone and get damage/penalised just restart the race.
