Well this blows. The game seems to crash quite a bit now with this error ...

I'm going to reinstall the game again and stick with 1.0, I can't hack not having wet weather and not being able to play. :(
 
I shouldn't even be playing the game tonight, or even be on here really, I've got my MCSA to study for ... maybe it's a sign lol

Old setup was a Core 2 Duo E4300 @ 2.7ghz, with 2 GB Ram and struggled with Mafia 2, Fallout New Vegas and F1 2010 was near on unplayable.

Now with the i3 @ 4.2ghz and 4gb Corsair XMS3, all the game's solidly over 50fps maxed out, and my GPU usage in all of them has gone from 50% ish to 100%

On top of that the whole system feels much more responsive.

Not Steam. GFWL does it automatically when you've launched the game and logged in.

Thanks for that.

Obviously improvement in game performance was expected. However, what surprised me was when you said that moving from an [email protected] (which is not slow) to a Core [email protected] has made your system more responsive...this surprises me.
