***Official Formula One 2012 Thread***

Career is unplayable for me because the cars do qualy times in the race!?

How am i supposed to play like that? I can do well in qualy with a great lap but if i want to remain competetive in the race i have to do qualy laps almost every lap..

IMPOSSIBRU!

It is like the AI cars dont get any negative for extra fuel.

Do they even test this game in career? I think not.

Cars went faster in race than in qualifying for me at one point! :p

It is things like this that really make the game fall down! They really need to sort the AI timings out.

The graphics, interface, handling model are all superb but the AI is a mess.

I was really struggling to control the car but I've found it much better now I have put some time into getting better (5th race in career), adjusted my wheel settings a bit and one very important point at least for me... Do not brake or accelerate at alllll when entering a corner, in 2011 you used to be able to break into corners fairly easily and power out of them but in 2012 it just gives you horrible understeer so I found coasting around corners has helped my lap times a lot :D

Shows you how messed up the physics are. I remember Brundle talking last year? where Schumacher brakes and accelerates a little to slow the car down. Fantasy F1. ;)

I think that helps with down shifting (think heel-toe in a car) but I doubt its something that is emulated in F1 2012 though :p

I think you can brake into corners and such I just find it much harder than it was F1 2011 it seems to be far less forgiving if you are off on your entry speed/angle.

im playing on 360 pad, i cant get the front wheels to lock up at all, thought it would be easy, tried bigger brakes and lot.

New Known Issue
On certain hardware, when the player’s car goes into shadow the whole screen flickers. This can be worked around by setting Shadows to Low or Ultra Low in My F1 -> Graphics. This issue will be addressed in the next patch.
The fixes listed above and those specific to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game are also being tested and verified on those platforms. As these versions require additional submission and authorisation from both Microsoft and Sony the release date for these will follow a little later than the PC version.

We are working on other issues you have reported via the forums, Facebook and Twitter and are working to fix them as quickly as possible. In the meantime, please note that we are still collecting feedback via our Technical Assistance forums and do encourage you to post your issues there being sure to include as much information as possible.

Thanks for your continued feedback!
