First things to try would be...
boot to BIOS with out the SSD attached and check all the settings to do with the storage controllers.
What would these setting be?
What would I be looking for?

Assume you're using Port 0 SATA3 as its the first Intel port?
(1) Enter SATA setup and disable hot plug for all the SATA ports (bottom of page 52, motherboard manual).
(2) Set Boot order (page 53). I usually put UEFI first but it probably wont appear if you're setting up without the drive. You can set to boot from SATA DVD first as that should work ok (put the windows DVD in!).
(3) While you;re on that page make sure Boot ROM is set to EFI compatible
(4) Peripherals (page 55 onward) I usually disable what I don't use (like 1394 firewire, PXE etc but for troubleshooting just make sure that SATA is enabled and SATA mode selection is set to AHCI. It's worth diabling the Marvell controller further down ont his page if you're not using it.
The above should get you to boot as far as I can see (I'm doing this from work so can;t see my own bios) - if not then it seems like a hardware fault or incompatibility and you should follow chaosophy's advice and start a full troubleshoot routine.
