***Official GTX 670 thread***

Well I'm sat here looking at Diablo 3 sitting on just the login screen, 1920x1200, max settings, no v-sync, GPU usage is @ 93-95 percent, temps are now just hitting 78c with the fan @ 60%, fan is now slightly audible.

Can you please tell what your gpu usage is on the login screen so I can compare.

If I buy a Gigabyte Windforce and still get high temps I'm gonna be livid.

My offsets are:

Power - +111%
Boost - +165
Memory - +750

Any higher on the memory I get artifacting, but a 1.5ghz effective increase from stock isn't bad going :o

But my stock boost is 1189mhz, if someones stock boost was lower they would need a higher boost offset to hit that 1300mhz mark.

As it stands even some decent clocking 680's are having trouble keeping up with my 670 :)

Out of interest have you checked that the memory OC is actually increasing performance? EEC means you can OC and your scores can actually drop.

Its certainly increasing heaven and 3dmark11 scores, in the real world I would say it has little benefit, 7000 effective is more than enough for these cards.

I believe the hotter a chip gets the more inefficient it is at the same voltage.

Makes sense :)

Login screen with no vsync causes a lot more usage, but the GPU only just starts to throttle and I could easily fix that by slightly ramping the fan if I wanted to.

Otherwise it stays boosted at 1176 under 70c as long as the GPU usage is high enough.

Finally received the cards! :D

im a week late to the party but if you been following the thread you will know why.. :D

had to go to work so only did some quick benches in SLI

P14615 http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3438492
X5687 http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3438346

BF3 is awesome first thing i did is find a 64 player strike at karkand server and it never dipped below 80fps with an average of 110fps @ 1080p ultra settings

my 570 SLI would stutter like mad on karkand 64 player with 2xAA

will test the cards overclock individually over the weekend
but the highest boost clock ive seen is around 1180 playing bf3

usinga 2700k @ 4.8

Which cards did you go for?

Would be nice if I could clock higher but tbh even stock is great. Bf3 @ Ultra, 4x AA and locked at 60fps, power averages around 45%, temp 56c, fan on auto stays at 37%.

Will do buddy, gonna modify my case to have an extra fan blowing on the cards.

Think I'm gonna do the same but these antic P180 cases are triple layered, not sure how easy it will to cut a hole in it, anyway I'm charging my drill up, someone said they they will lend me dremel, guess I'll see how it goes.

Not so bad.
Heaven score 2006 points with AAx16 and FSAAx4
GPU1100MHz (1306boost) and Memory 7128MHz

That's very good, is that on an Asus DCII? what did you set your fan to?

Edit- just read previous page, 57% fan, max temp of 75c, nice.
