***Official GTX 670 thread***

with my fans I have a side fan and a front fan sucking air into the system and then that is sucked out by the back fan and pushed out of the pc. I assumed that would be the best way of cooling a system. (as i assume that a CPU cooler and a GPU cooler suck air in to the chip)

Just had an idea. What if I bought four Windforce 670's, tested them all separately for best overclocks (with heaven) and the best two to do 1300MHz+ I keep for SLI and then if the other two are also 1300+ sell them on in the MM for cost or else just DSR them?

Would that be frowned upon?

I think 'get a life' is actually appropriate in this case.

Ideally you want it below 70c, as at that point the thermal chokes come into effect (15mhz drop per 5c after that I think?)

I'm sure Gregster started a thread getting users to list what games were stuttering with 6x0 cards.

Cheers! So I might just have to keep checking to see if it increases any more and then maybe put a fan on the side panel.

I guess Asus has problems with their cards crashing when boosting over 1200mhz. I read at Nvidia forums where some users were saying Asus is going to release a new bios with lower boost.
Wish they would just up the volts instead.

One user that did the voltage mod on his Asus card used a voltage meter to check the stock voltage under load, and it went up a bit past 1.2v. Overclocking software wont read past 1.175, because even at 1.4v the software read it as 1.175.

Got mine today, immediately upon powering up the system, the card seems to make what i can only best describe as like a what a hard rive would make when in use, but at completely random intervals ? Anybody else experianced this ? Card seems fine otherwise.

Considering a 670 as an upgrade for my 460GTX 1GB. Will i be tempting fate with a Corsair VX550W PSU? It will be on a 1680x1050 monitor to begin with which should fly at that res!
