***Official GTX 670 thread***

You are correct. I checked in the driver control panel and AA was set to application controlled. forced 4x and a re run got 1879 points. Well spotted sir.

I have to say there are several items in the Nvidia panel I have no idea what they do though lol.

I've just moved from ATI to Nvidia and the Nvidia Panel is so different to CCC so i've no idea about most things in there lol

Just had a dabble with overclocking my WindforceX3 (SLI). I've managed +88 GPU Clock Offset and +755 Memory Clock Offset. Power Target is 112%, Voltage 1175mV (Max card can do without having to find a bios unlock). ASIC quality is 100% for both cards if that matters. One card's Kepler Boost is 1264 (+117) and the others is 1250 (+103). 1300Mhz would have been a nice target to hit but the cards are fast enough as it is.

Top Card hits 62 and Bottom 54 during the bench. Here is the fan profile used:

Games like BF3 in Ultra 1080p 120hz monitor run fine with no crashes so far.

Really not happy with my GB 670GTX WF to be honest. Ive noticed that at low power (for example when its only powering 1 screen) it makes a noise like a quiet but broken modem. It doesn't do this under load and only when its in 2D mode but because the rest of the PC is water cooled its very very annoying.

Needless to say it wont be lasting long in there if I cant shut the damn thing up.

I had same problem with GB 560Ti also with WF cooler..never had any other cards except Asus until then, and when i sold my GB 560Ti WF (after i got new one,RMA) i decided i never ever going to have GB video card - never had any issues with Asus video cards (my Asus 8800GTX still going strong, even tho i did any tests possible just to see how long it can survive - and its still alive lol)
Now i decided to go totally with Asus DCII cards - and im very happy with this decision...

OT - is there any point for me to change GTX570 to GTX670? Im playing BF and all never games..
Any owners of GTX570 who swapped to GTX670 ?

See http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/518?vs=598 = decent gains in BF3 I would have thought :D

I recently went 580 to an MSI 670 PE and have been quite happy with the move ... +30% improvement at stock and nearer +40% OC'd (@1920 x 1080). In your case, you should see even bigger gains than me. Though obviously depends on games / resolution & exactely which make/model of card moving from/to... + cooler and quieter than previous generation. If I'm honest with myself, considering the games I'm currently playing, it wasn't "really" justifiable... but when has that ever come into the equation :)

Just picked up an evga superclock 4gb one.

What should I be aiming for overclock wise?

Its 967mhz core and 6210 on memory as standard.

Im running it without problems at 1067/7010, if i go an extra 25mhz i get a few artifacts on the core, whats a safe voltage to run?

Anywhere near 1300mhz Kepler boost will be a good over clock on the maximum stock voltages 1175mv

You sure thats the boost? sounds like the core clock to me, it will be boosting higher than that. run afterburner and setup to display the core speed in the overlay. Ive just built a machine with the KFA 4gb version 670 in it and managed 1250 core and 7000 memory.

Just checked, its 1067 standard, 1146 boost in gpuz - although when i start 3dmark, the gpu shoots to 1325.

Mine is a 4gb one which I believe dont clock as good as the standard 2gb ones.

Is the memory quadrupled, I seem to be running the memory at 7600, its 1902. Ill have a play with a bit more voltage to see if i can squeeze a bit more out the core.

1325 @ stock Kepler boost is amazing. You got a good card there. :)
I find that the colours are a bit dull compared to amd, has anyone made corrections in the nvidia control panel to compensate?

1325 is really good, i think mine is the best or 2nd best on the forums here at 1360 but i wouldnt like to run it all day like that, my 24/7 clock is 1300 which is plenty for most games.

again 7600 memory is excellent. 7696 is my limit, there are a couple ive seen that will do 7800 but its very rare. thats probably why your seeing some artifacting, my 24/7 is set to 7000.

Now you've ascertained you got a gooden' try this benchmark, see how you score up against the rest of us? http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18386056

make sure you match the settings and get the correct screenshots etc otherwise you wont be added to the leaderboard.

Good Luck!

Am I doing something wrong here, as above my issue is that the card is making a slight buzzing noise at low power. If I enable the 3rd monitor this issues goes away. Looking at the clocks in 2screen / 3screen mode is as follows;

2 screens - GPU Clock 324.0 / Mem Clock 162.0
3 Screens - GPU Clock 550.0 / Mem Clock 1552.5

So looking at that the obvious solution is to either run it in 3 screens all the time or play around with a 2D overclock until I find the point that is shuts the hell up.

My issue is that I cant get an overclock to stick (using Afterburner). If I hit apply it does so but only for about 5 seconds before reverting to the stock settings again. Ive been into profiles and selected the saved profile as the stock 2D setting but this makes no difference. Am I an Idiot ?
