***Official GTX 670 thread***

All installed! :D

Funny thing is, once all was installed.. I looked at my 560ti I had just removed and noticed it still had the protective film over the top.. :| The 670 Windforce doesn't have also does it? Because I forgot that one if so :p

Framerates on Train Sim 2013 at first seemed the same :| But improved.. the highest FPS is higher (of course) but it dips lower or around same than the 560ti.. Odd! Thats the bad Train Sim 2013 game engine I guess.

560 on left, 670 on right

I've put the power target upto 112% and GPU offset to 40%. I don't understand the above numbers in the previous posts and how that relates to what I see on Precision X.. Could someone give me a hand?

Thanks :)

My two :D

Someone help me out here.. This is the best I can seem to get with my Windforce on the core..

My second Palit refuses to go higher than 1130. Odd as the stock boost is 1080.

You could just have a bad clocker dude. My other Jetstream happily does 1250 on boost.

I made sure to test it alone and tbh it's absolute crap for clocking. It's Heaven that makes it bomb too, as I can get it to 1190 in 3dmark and it will pass.

The Windforce OC (2GB) seems to clock well for me. Bought it at launch and able to push it very hard with only the stock cooler.

Above is just one overclock pic. Was able to get higher on 3DMark 11. I think I got a good one. It is the second highest clocking 670 after flawless's one (on single GPU score) in the 3DMark11 thread .

Got my windforce 3x 2gb currently running at 1306mhz core, 3506mhz memory.

Been stable for a week or two now, get 53.3fps on heaven benchmark with all settings on maximum (1920x1080).

Would you say these are decent speeds? The memory will run at 3600mhz, but it didn't see much of a performance increase so put it back for stability.

Good clocks, anything above 1300mhz core is incredibly good.

Thanks, glad to hear my fingers-crossed bios flashing was worth it then xP.

I've bumped the voltage up to 1.2125 to acheieve the clock speed. Temps are still good and fans still quiet. Gigabyte definately got the cooling right on this card.

One quick question actually - On far cry 3 I can run mine on max settings, 4xAA on 5760x1080 and get 32-40fps, depending on whether I'm looking at sky or trees. My friend has a EVGA FTW 670 and on the same settings can only get around 20 fps. His clock speeds are currently on standard.

My only thought was his GPU is getting to about 77 degrees and might be throttling.

Any ideas?

That is pretty good I'd say.

Ok, I'm confused now.

I've just been doing some searching, and it turns out that his card is correct, and mine is the one with the problem.

I've found this benchmark:
http://media.bestofmicro.com/Z/D/364153/original/High-5760.png

According to that, I should be getting what he is getting on 5760x1080. That test was done on a Sandybridge-E 3960x with 1600mhz 8-8-8-24CL so I doubt there's any bottleneck there.

I've checked and rechecked my settings, uninstalled and reinstalled my game and gone through the nvidia control panel and we both have identical settings, but I get 30-40fps while he gets 16-18fps.

I'm totally confused now  Is my 670 disobeying the laws of physics here?

Throttling will make a small difference but not that much, FC3 can be CPU bound, I'd be looking at your relative specs on that front
