***Official GTX 670 thread***

yeah i saw that, basically they are going to lower the voltage requirement on the 7970 to run at 925mhz thus providing more oc headroom.

The real interesting thing to see is if amd will charge a premium for this and release them at a higher price than current 7970's.

I'd imagine so, they will have to differentiate them from standard 7970 stock, hopefully not by too much though.

Ive got a dentist appointment at 12:20 today, ill probably be home by 1:15. Ill swallow my roast dinner and still make it up stairs and on the pc before 2pm i hope.

Currently running an O/C 480 and even with the Zalman cooler it's still much warmer than these 670's reportedly are. The GPU is also the loudest part of my system at present, I would have thought these would be a big improvement in that respect, too.

I am really quite excited about this release.

Ive used AMD and Nvidia cards had no actual problems with either. Your kidding yourself if you think AMD drivers have more problems than Nvidia's, you only need to check the Nvidia forums to see just how many people have problems with the drivers..

Back on topic, looking forward to seeing 670 prices, if any come in at £300 I will grab one to replace GTX 480 SLI..

They (AMD) let me down with bulldozer and then the 7 series - Im going to do a switch here to nividia for the time being.

Thanks for the rpelies guys. Had a weak moment where I thought I might stick with my 570. Found a good piece here with a roundup of the cards/known figures/pictures. Sorry if already posted.

I noticed those Tweaktown benches used some old ass games and only Heaven 2.5.. no BF3 or Crysis games were in there.

Don't bother with Tweaktown... they're ****holes, stupid and their review format is just generally terrible.

The purposefully break NDAs as an FU to Nvidia...
