***Official GTX 670 thread***

Oh yeah I understand that, was just curious. I tend to have my i7 920 @4.3GHz on air (HT disabled when running FSX) but for most games I'm happy leaving it at 4.0GHz (HT enabled) and never had any issues with it. :)

For gaming on the latest CPU demanding games it will likely benefit you more to disable HT and overclock higher ;)

On SB it isn't the same case as with HT on it doesn't effect OC'in much.

Re price -if you can get a 680 for 399 - ref - which you can....

Why would you not spend the 60 quid more and have that.. Surely this needs to be 320 max to be relevant?

Its desperate to show value, and confirm you have stock?

There's been no 680's in the US pretty much since launch, and whats in stock over here is priced at a level that most punters pips squeak, its not exactly the ideal scenario is it? I'm glad I managed to get my 680 at a decent price as the current prices of stuff in stock is horrendous.

Is the 680 £60 better in terms of performance though?, I think where things come into question will be the custom gpu's, I think anything over £360 and you might as well go for the 680.

Yes I expect we will see lowest in stock £340, and OCUK value out of stock £320

Who actually manufactures the OcUK GPU's?

Of course there's no 680s in stock because everyones been buying them. Of course there's loads of 7900s in stock because nobody is buying them.

AMD are desperate and losing in the high end.

I have £335.79p in my current acc, I hope that's enough, can Gibbo or somone at least say 'yey or nay' so I know whether to transfer more money in?

Why not transfer a little bit more just in case? Better to have too much (and then transfer back the unused) than not have enough and have to wait until Monday to receive the card.

On that basis, my local petrol station has petrol in stock. Clearly no one is buying petrol...

Oh wait it doesn't work like that.

AMD have created a big enough supply to meet demand and exceed it. nVidia on the other hand don't appear to have been able to achieve that in the US.

Sitting on the fence about what I will do here, if the reviews look good I will go for it but the 7970 is looking even more attractive if the price drops even more.
